BighOrt, hi

Just wanted to know when your roster patch will be available (within the week or the month)
And I wanted to be sure : you will not touch the ratings (except for the speed, quickness...)
That's a good thing, because I downloaded a patch where all the players were tweaked up ! that too bad cause I want realism !!!!

What do you think of the fatigue in the game ? because in the original roster, players in a team like Orlando are exhausted very quickly.

Thx for the infos, and the work you do for guys like us !!!

What thread have you been reading?

bigh0rt wrote:1) As soon as I'm finished with it
2) If you have stats for European rookies, that'd be awesome
3) Possibly

Just tell me which europian players you need and I'll do my best to find their stats

About the sliders, I would be very happy if you manage to release new ones to work well with your rosters, the current sliders don't seem user-fair to me.. :?

Another question, will you include an AIACT file to this patch (or maybe use Jimmy's..)?

A lot of things regarding gameplay are hinging on the restult of EA's patch. After that's released, then we can dive further into gameplay aspects of the game.

Got that (Y) , what about the list of euro players you need?

Any and all rookies you can find.

Tue Oct 24, 2006 11:22 am

It will be much easier for me if you could give me a list

It will be much easier for me if you would search the draft and do some work yourself. If you don't wish to, then by all means, don't.

Just a little update here: yesterday I re-rated the Speed and Dribble ratings for every single player in the game and I've found that already this is making gameplay a world more enjoyable. Given that I couldn't come up with any sort of formula for these two rankings, I used the NBA 2K7 Next Gen ratings as a partial guide, and some various turnover stats and my better judgement for the rest. There were players who had their speed upped more than 15 points, on some, while others were only 1 or 2 in either direction. Either way, nobody is below a 50 speed anymore, and there is an accurate scale of speed now, which will make the Game Speed Slider that much more effective. I really think that this is going to help gameplay more than I initially thought, as I've already noticed a difference in a few test games. Speed often goes underlooked, but EA's Overall Formula actually takes it into account quite a bit (which shocked me), and you wouldn't believe how much more realistic and fun it is to play 1-on-1 defense now that my SG isn't a 63 Speed to their SG's 88, when they are actually both about the same speed in reality.

This roster must be something very special! Have you already thought of a release date? If you can do it, then please consider Jason Maxiell's ratings if you haven't done it regarding his dunks. I remember that he threw down some power dunks against Toronto and Minnesota in the preseason, and he reminded me of the Human Highlight Film. Man, there's a lot of power behind that guy's dunks, and compared to all the other players in the league, I think he's got to get the Freestyle Star abilities. Just a suggestion, you might wanna consider it. :)

Looks like you are putting a lot of work into this bigh0rt, I am excited to try it out when it is all finished up.

One quick question. I have noticed in dynasty mode that the top scorers are only averaging 24-25ppg instead of the 30's. Do you anticipate your rosters to have much of an effect on sim stats in dynasty mode? If so, that would be wonderful. If not, thats fine...it will still be a good patch!

Any updates on this one, dog?

Wed Nov 08, 2006 2:21 pm

The update is I'm going through, team by team, re-rating still. That task alone, aside from the visual updates, correct roster placement, depth charts, etc. etc. will take approximately 30 hours in and of itself. Rest easy though, I'm still working on it (as we speak, in fact).

Fabricio Oberto deserves better ratings. He is starting for the spurs and is having some pretty good stats. He is scoring almost everything he shoots and check his stats against the suns today: 22 points (11-11 fg), 10 rebounds, 2 assists, one block and one steal. That's something a 60 overall rated player wouldn't do for sure. Moreover, he is one of the best players of the argentinian national team that won the gold medal in athens, ended 2nd in 2002 world championship and lost in the last possesion against Spain.
