bigh0rt (that's me) will be holding an NCAA styled, single elimination 32-man screenshot tournament to be held right here in NBA Live 07 General Issues.

This, folks, is the sign-up, thread. First thing's first... the vitals/rules/regulations:

* You may submit a screenshot from any NBA video game on any platform (That's right.).
* Screens must be submitted of the size of exactly 800 by 600 pixels; no more, no less.
* Screens may NOT be Photoshopped, period.
* Sign-ups are first come, first serve. The first 64 people to complete the registration at the bottom of this thread (other than those I've already spoken to) and reply are in; any sign-ups after that will be allowed in if neither person in a matchup submits a screen and both are defaulted out of the tournament.
* Winners of matchups will be determined on an open balloted vote (meaning, not a poll; replying to a thread) where neither screen is attatched to its owner by name -- this will avoid people getting popularity votes, I hope). First to get 10 votes wins. If, at the end of two days, a matchup has not received 10 votes, whoever has received more will advance. In the event of a tie, I will be the deciding vote.
* Each round of advancing, contestants must submit a new screen for their matchup. Meaning, if you win your first round matchup, you must submit a new screen for your 2nd round matchup, and so on and so forth.
* Submissions must be sent to me via PM before the scheduled matchup. If a submission is not sent to me by the deadline, you will be automatically eliminated from the tournament.
* All of the above is subject to change, if I can think of good reason

just some clarification...what is being judged? the quality of the shot? angle/zoom/focus etc....Cool plays stopped at key moments? sorry if this sounds dumb, i'm just new here and i'm interested enough to give it a shot if i think i can

I want to keep it general. Take a screen from any game you're playing (NBA), do what you want with it (without giving away via text that it's your work), and let people vote on which they like more in matchups. I want to leave it up to you and your imagination as to what you do with it.

very true...but i also have a crazy schedule with being in college...some weeks i have nothing to do...others i have no time whatsoever....i dont want to take a spot from someone who can be dedicated enough to keep track of whats going on and make sure they submit each week...but then again, i could just take on of those days i have nothing to do and do like 8 shots....just in case i got far enough... gimme a day or so to think about it (already have a party and studying to do tonight) and i'll let ya know my decision tomorrow

Because I wanted a standard size, and I settled on 800x600 because it's nice a big and shows the whole screen, and things of that nature.

Allowing a pic to be photoshopped would allow people who are more skilled in that area to have an edge over the competition, unless everyone in the tournament has skills inthat area.

Since I have skills in that area, and it would give me an edge, then I like it.

Seriously, its not fair. People can put photoshopped pics in the screenshots section.

I would suggest a smaller seperate contest that REQUIRES a pic to be photoshopped. For instance, having one screen per round or matchup and then having the person with the best edited version advance to the next round.
