LOL! The invisible barrier around the rim, magnetic hands, throw-in walls, making a half-court shot easily and not being to make easy layups bugs, are all making EA a joke.

With no subs available is there someone that could beat the suns?
Amare (93)
Marion (93)
Diaw (83)
Bell (74)
Nash (87)
All you have to do is run and score in fast break.

yeah I know, I'm bumping an old thread, but I just registered to go to the LA one in 3 weeks (11-17-06). yeah it costs $10 which sucks and it'll cost me like 20-30 in gas to go to Hollywood & back, but hopefully it'll be fun despite the bugs.
was thinking of playing as Philly, but I know most players will pull out the cheap shit so I was thinking of playing as Phoenix.

Good luck!

This is where we need NLSC Team Member t-shirts/jackets.

Damn right. I guess I can just wear the LiveStyle shirt from 2005.
See you at Hollywood and Highland, Qballer.

i wish i could get in this competition

heh, the thread with the "unstoppable moves" might come in handy
Fri Nov 10, 2006 11:33 pm
yo PDub, any thoughts on what team to use? It's coming up on Friday.
I was thinking Cleveland because with only 2 minute quarters, you'd need someone like Lebron to be able to outscore your opponent. Lebron & Hughes are stoppers to help steal the ball, Big Z is an inside stopper i think and him and Drew should dominate the boards.

Cavs would be good, but I would take the heat and have Shaq and Zo down low for inside stoppers. Wade can score for you, but you lose another outside stopper.
My tip is to get as many stoppers as possible.

If you read the "Best Buy Blog" about one of the tournaments that already happened, they said someone scored 65 of 66 points with Lebron James. This is on 3 minute quarters.
I'm going to do some practicing. Gotta play with the Baseline Mid camera and feel out the best teams. I'm going to jack up the sliders for the cpu to make it tough. The guidelines say that every slider is at its middle setting(50), but I don't believe that. I think they are going with default.

The rules for the NBA Live Challenge were copied almost word for word from rules for the Madden Challenge. Some of them don't quite apply to NBA Live.

^True that. How are we supposed to select NFL teams? Also, I have no idea how to shake the screen with a left to right movement.
Sun Nov 12, 2006 7:46 pm
hey PDub, how are you preparing for the challenge? I don't have 07 on a console, so to prepare for the (Xbox?) version, I'm playing Live 06 with updated rosters on my PS2. Damn it was hard readjusting to Live after playing 2k7 for a while. I've been trying out a few teams, and I think that of the best to play with are Dallas, Cleveland, Miami, and Phoenix.

Well I believe I just learned how to shoot the ball the other day. I switched my camera from press box to baseline mid, and all of a sudden I was draining pull up 3's with Cuttino Mobley, 7-15, which I never ever came close to with the Press Cam. Not only that, but I only turned the ball over twice. I'm pretty used to the camera, now I just gotta jack those cpu sliders up and learn the players strengths and weaknesses from the best teams.
EDIT - Los Angeles Tournament cancelled
I went down to Hollywood and couldn't find anything. So I asked the lady at the information desk and she told me it had been cancelled. She told me to call EA GAMES. I hope it's only being postponed till a later date. If it is cancelled, I need my money back. Does anyone have a phone number for EA Games that isn't technical support?
