WTF s the problem?

Dx 9.0c already installed but setup trying to overwrite this without
asking then giving message:you dont have dx 9.0c install wont continue!?

try uninstalling it, then run setup again?

Uninstalling dx?? xp doesnt allow that.

Unfortunately ,now i think problem is sp2 (although didnt get any warning message
about it-but its mandatory right?)my pc old &slow already and i dont want to install sp2 coz of performance issues anyone know if there is by-pass for this?
(or if you say doesnt effects performance at all i may give it atry
but im not sure its gonna worth it?)

I don't want sp2 either, ive restored my computer well over 10 times (once 3 times in a month) and now my computer is running very nicely without shit pack 2. If you actually wanna play the game, then youl probably have to do it

Nothing wrong with Service Pack 2, just cuts down on the massive amount of Windows security exploits. No reason not to install it.

Flash flash i've solved the prob.After hd install didnt work,i simply erased dx folder and bypassed setup order now game working,means xp sp2 not mandatory

Could you explain? I hate SP2 and would like to know how exactly you did it
