NO SUBS!!!!

Hi guys got the game last night here in the Philippines, and I was wondering if anyone has experienced this:

I was playing all star 10 min Celtics vs. Bobcats, it reached halftime already but the computer still hadn't made a substitution. I tried tinkering around with the settings but there's no computer fatigue!!!

So I thought maybe its just a glitch, I restart my game with the same teams, the computer finally made a sub, Gerald Wallace gets 2 fouls in the first 5 min of the first quarter and is replaced by Bernard Robinson. That's the end of the games substitutions.

If you check out the other teams lineup, all there fatigues are already empty.

There isn't a fatigue slider at all, actually.

And, yes, come to think of it, the computer hasn't really made any subs against me either, save 1 or 2 foul situations.

nope, its really fucked up. There is also no CPU substitution frequency slider. So much for having a bench.

I can see your IP address, and your service provider (Bell South). Spam is actually against the terms of service of most internet providers- I don't think your parents would be happy if I reported you (and most likely got your internet turned off)... and yes, I know how to do that, my fiance is the technical trainer for the entire western division of a cable internet company.

Wow, if that's confirmed, that's really retarded. What's the point of a bench then? This has got to be the biggest issue that I've seen so far (no, not the lack of signature shots). Glad to know that EA hinted for some patches, but seriously, no fatigue or substitutions in the finished game has got to be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. So much for realistic gameplay

His thread is a specific point, that has nothing to do with an initial response to the game, it is a specific problem. I will delete any additional posts you make in this thread. (I can't ban you, by the way, but I CAN report you to your internet provider, which I swear I will do if you don't cut it out. I'm dead serious, kid.)

why ban you? just leave! Its easier then you think.

The human team also doesn't auto sub even if the SUB slider is turned to 100%. Basically:

There was no fix for not being able to set an offensive pick while off the ball. For example, if you like to play locked on a player, you cannot set a pick.

And now two things that worked in 06 have been broken:

Subs worked, now the computer does not auto sub.

When playing locked, the computer never in bounds the ball unless you call for it. Up to 06, you could play locked and the computer would in bounds the ball on its own.

In addition, it appears a Dynasty no longer has a choice of a shorter season. NBA default appears to be the only choice.

Not only are new features not added to "current gen" which on a PC is actually more powerful hardware than "next gen," but old features have been broken.

is this problem confirmed? Is this just for the computers? or both computer and player has no fatigue bar? how about in simulated games, do computers sub?

The fatigue is fine, its just that the teams dont sub them out ever. It does this in human and CPU vs CPU games. I have seen it on PC.
And if your star player gets subbed out, you might never see him come back into the game.

That's a very common annual trend. Why, EA, why?! Jaesus Christ, anybody can make a simple list of all the features that have been made, should've be kept a la in-game save, and popular feature requests added on on an annual basis (the last five words must've been a nice tongue twister).

I can't believe that they would stuff up the subs as much as posted above, hopefully it can be fixed.

There is a user substitution frequency slider, but none for the CPU. But i read someone say that if you put it up to 100 it still doesnt work. Yeah you can put it all the way down to 0 and sub yourself. But its just not fun playing 12 on 5.

thanks for the quick reply, and yea i agree, this year's LIVE might just disappoint more people than it did previously....

What i don't understand is why would they even think of taking about this feature? I hope there's a patch or something, but knowing EA they probably won't.

I hope Andrew writes to them about this.

thats fucked.. i was really getting excited about 07, i prepared a hundred bucks(game+controller for total fss control) and this is what they have instored for me for 50 bucks!1!1???
