Hey Andrew, wasnt clutch added for current gen?

Thu Sep 21, 2006 11:38 am

The highest verticals aren't really the popular guys, it's probably Nate Robinson (44 inches), and Travis Outlaw (also 44 inches). Lebron is at about 40 inches on his vertical, Josh Smith is 39.5 inches himself.

Thu Sep 21, 2006 11:41 am

wow, Travis Outlaw with a 44 inch vertical? if you add to that his freakishly long arms, how high is his jumping reach

EDIT:

The combination of his height (6-foot-7), his reach (a wing span of a 7-footer), and his great leaping ability (a 48-inch vertical jump means he could touch the top of a backboard), made Outlaw a "can't miss" prospect in Mississippi prep circles.

Asked if there was one game during his storied high school basketball career that he remembers with special pride, Outlaw says:

"Yeah, one. When I was in the 9th grade, we played archrival Columbus. We beat them and I had a terrific game." Outlaw recalled.

How terrific? Travis scored only 15 points, but (listen up), he recorded an astonishing 19 blocked shots in that game.

Holy Shit. I never really took Travis Outlaw seriously and just thought he was another kid who made a big mistake by skipping college. The Blazers have an even more promising future than I thought

I agree with you on everything except Fastbreak Anticipation I think should be Nash, and Quickness and Agility should be Steve Francis or maybe Allen Iverson. Despite Steve's weak play of late, you cant take away the fact that he's one of the quickest if not the quickest in the league, and he's definitely got a crossover that can compete with Iverson. He's still only 28 so he's still extremely athletic.

ahhh see i thought "aggressive" button was just a different name for turbo :)

Yeah it is sort of another name for turbo. But one of them can be used to back down, the other is turbo and both together is super turbo.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Off-Topic but this is the NLSC.

hey jugs is that true? if you hold down both agressive moddifiers it makes you run even faster? If so i didn't know that so thanks :D

Yes, Clutch was added in CG.

The best verticals should be...
White, Noel, Outlaw, Robinson, Francis, T-Mac, Vinsanity, Lebron, Josh Smith
And guys with 95-99 dunk ability should be...
White, Noel, Vinsanity, J-Rich, Mason, Josh Smith, JR Smith and propably Igouadala.

just for fun :D .

Is this info readily available for a more diverse sample of players? I'd love to be able to use it for my 07 roster set.

Kobe > LeBron.
VC > T-Mac.
and Outlaw > all.

Thu Sep 21, 2006 5:37 pm

do we still get the features of new ratings but they are sort of hidden and we can't edit?

gerald green has hops, shud probly be in the top verticals

Thu Sep 21, 2006 9:20 pm

Green has an 39'' vertical, Josh Smith 39.5'', JR Smith 35.5'', Iguodala 34.5'', Wade 35'', Amare 35.5'', Robinson's was measured at 40.5'' if I remember correctly and the player with the highest vertical in recent years was - drums, please - Jordan Farmar, Jewish kid from UCLA, with a vertical of 42''. Lebron was in the 37-38'' area.

If anyone say he has a vertical of 44 or 48 inches, he's 99,9% full of shit.

Thu Sep 21, 2006 11:28 pm

I don't see how Raja Bell and Leandro Barbosa have outside shot thingys of less than 80 when both were in the top 5 for 3pt% and both shot over 5 3's a game.

Is there first step rating on PC?
Can Allen Iverson dunk?

You're waiting for 3 things that have already been answered, and one thing we can't possibly know yet (Iverson dunking).

Fri Sep 22, 2006 12:05 am

Is it so hard to answer again? i can't find your answers....And iverson must be able to dunk in the game because he made the dunk of the 1998 and 9th dunk of the best dunks ever. And he called for slam dunk championship but he could not go because of his injury....If AI can't dunk in the game it will be big mistake.

I Really dont love how 2k series plays and prefer live but im seriously concidering a change :?

Man, you've posted this 10 times. Once, ok, twice, and you're getting excessive. But I feel like in every thread you're saying how you're not sure if you want to 'make a change' or something. Do whatever you want, but I'm tired of hearing about it.

your opinions often annoy me also would you mind cutting back on them? You post more complaints about other members than you do about NBA Live. :shhh:

Fri Sep 22, 2006 12:25 am

Yeah but you happen to be an idiot.

Fri Sep 22, 2006 12:27 am

also, about Lebron vs. Kobe.. its tough to say because Lebron is better at passing/rebounding/playmaker abilities... while Kobe is far better at defense and maybe a little better at scoring.. its a toss up i think.. But i would rather lebron on my team so i woud give him a slight edge

Tmac is deff better than Carter...

He needs to be able to dunk because he dunked 9 years ago?

In real life, Iverson dunks easyly! And if he doenn't dunk in game, it would be a bad thing, because dunk is the best thin in fast break :P

Fri Sep 22, 2006 1:24 am

Well, I'll just be the extreme one and say that this means nothing. At all. No way,no how.

Ratings can be changed very easily. One thing that however cannot be changed are all the glaring omissions of players. Roster cut-off date is not a respectable excuse, lets just take the Boston Celtics for example.

Leon Powe? Included.
Allan Ray? Nope
Kevin Pittsnoogle? Nope

Powe was the last of these players to sign a deal with the C's.

Fri Sep 22, 2006 1:25 am

He made dunks last year my friend(can't u remember wizards game?).I can watch NBA games in turkey but can't u watch the games in U.S.A. It's very interesting bro...Can u send me pc ratings..I think u can! U know everything about NBA so u must know the ratings for PC ....

Fri Sep 22, 2006 1:28 am

EA Canada makes NBA Live games you Turkish turkey.

OMG stfu noob! VC rips Tracy McGrady in a half. Tracy McGrady is more over-rated than Dwyane Wade (IRL).
