Discussion about NBA Live 2003.

Hey folks...
Just curious if there is any concensus as to what bogs this game down. For me, I have decent performance running 1024*768*16bit with medium/high detail settings, but the game does get extremely choppy when it first loads and *at times* during gameplay. Seems on my box it's doing a lot of HD accessing. Wondering if more RAM is needed, or if this is a fault of the game. Cuts scenes in particular are killing my performace.
My specs for reference:
AthlonXP 1600+
256MB PC2700 DDR ram
GF Ti4200 64mb
SB Audigy
Windows XP
Would moving up to 512MB alleviate this, or is that just a pipe dream. Thanks for *any* input folks.
Cheers
Steph

The more the merrier.
Interestingly I had similar specs before I upgraded, and adding another sick of 256DDR Ram improved the game somewhat.
Another thing, if you're running Windows XP, then adding more ram would greatly enhance your system; not just games. (According to MS, WinXP likes lots of memory to function properly).
Using FRAPS to gauge my framerate, I get a between 62-76 FPS on 1280x1024 with all settings to HIGHESt/MAXIMUM
P4 2.0
1 Gig DDR Ram
Radeon 9700 Pro
Windows XP

Whenever I write down specs, I always forget something. Yes, I am running XP and have edited post above to reflect this. I have heard the samr thing re: XP performance with more RAM, but I wasn't sure I'd see such a noticeable difference in this game though.
Thoughts?

I have:
XP 1600+
640 DDR RAM
GeForce2 MX 400 ( good and decent but not the best of course )
Creative MP3+
Win 2k Pro
I never get any choppy or low performance when playing any games. However I plan to have 2 updgrades by the end of the year... at least 17" LCD monitor and 128 MB video card ( of course nvidia )
The box recommends 256 or more so... you make the last call.
You can also disable background utitlies before you start playing.
I play Live 03 in Win 2k Pro, however some games won't work in this OS... so I have to switch to Win98 sometimes.
Thanks.

I'm using a P3 850 MHZ with only 256 MB SD Ram, with a Intel 82810 graphics card on Win XP Pro, and I haven't experienced any choppiness playing Live 03
