I won't start talkin' shit about Live 07 for next gen until they show us video footage. They can show me 10.000 perfect pics, but I need to see how the players move. If it's in any way similar to 06... I will start hating !

Or you could try both. No law says you must pick one. (y)

The law of managing money wisely does . Do you have a console jowe? I always thought of you as a pc gamer. Might be becuase your asian :proud:

Renting a game doesn't put much of a dent in one's pocket. That's why i said "try".

Here in Australia, renting games isn't really an option. Especially when basketball is such a niche sport here at the moment. Thats totally not your fault for not knowing that, but it's just the way things are ...

 I want it :D Damn, they really need to make it for the PC...

Hmmm, most of this is stuff we already knew (still a good find though), but I hadn't heard about the following:

1UP: What can we look for as far as differences amongst the various versions of 07? Obviously the next-gen games will have different graphics, animations, etc., but in terms of features, what should we look for between the current-gen and next-gen titles?

TT: We have two different development teams but from an overall feature set the games are similar. For example, Total Freestyle Control is a new feature on all platforms. There might be subtle differences in between the different versions but for the most part the games play the same. In some cases next-gen simply takes a feature and advances it because it has the power to do more. For example, Freestyle Superstars has a special unlockable "In The Zone" level in next-gen. Also, current-gen has an ESPN integration package but next-gen has full ESPN integration with ESPN Motion. For the most part, however, the feature set between current-gen and next-gen is pretty much the same.

Does anyone know what this "In The Zone" level is?

I guess it might be about post moves, maybe really good ones because they're on the superstar feature.

I think the "in the Zone" might be translated for you 90's kids into: "HE'S ON FIRE!!!"

OMFG the screenies look almost real!

Sun Aug 13, 2006 6:16 am

Its a hidden feature I believe where ur player get can get hot after a good performance n his abitlily to possiblity nail a game winning shot is increased....more real to life so players like vince n wade will play like....vince n wade. Cuz no longer is being hot in the end of the forth n brickin a gm winin 12 ft shot acceptable.

Sun Aug 13, 2006 8:39 am

^^ That would be nyce. . But I've never missed a 12ft Game winning shot!! Only dunks lol

They had a feature reminscent of "in the zone" in live 95-99 where a player would get hot, and the circle around him when he had the ball would flash. However, if its unlockable, wtf? So you score 50 points with tmac in a game then he's unstopable for the rest of the season? Once again, it sounds like a decent idea but knowing nba lives execution of idea's history, im not convinced.

Why would it be for a whole season?

They had it since the old bulls vs blazers days and nba showdown from memory, even before nba live.

And I haven't got a console yet, i might make that jump too :) Probably an xbox 360 as soon as there are more games. :cheeky:

Thats one game I never played, Bulls vs Blazers. What type of games are you waiting for to be released on the 360?

If its unlockable and unlocked during the season, like the legends in live 2000 for the psx, then it would be for the entire regular season.

they still dont look like the actual players, well a lil bit i suppose but not much

Sun Aug 13, 2006 3:01 pm

damn!!!!!!! im a die hard live fan..........but i can not help but to complain about the facial expressions on the dunks.........neither stromile's or vince's faces changed while they were dunkin and i thought thats what ea said that they were working on :(

Of everything you could possibly get out of new basketball game, this troubles you the most?? No wonder EA never gets it right -- too many opinions that shouldn't matter...

Sun Aug 13, 2006 3:11 pm

are you sayin that doesnt bother you at all?? because it really bothers me, especially since ea said it would be in the game.........and when you lookin at a replay of VC dunking on somebody, you dont want his face looking like he wants to pose....it is very impossible to do an enthusiastic dunk with a straight face...

Sun Aug 13, 2006 3:41 pm

i think what he meant is that he couldn't care less about animations that are only seen during close-up replays, which are exactly my thoughts.

They have it in NBA 2K6 aswell. Not sure why EA are making a song and dance about it.
