Why McGrady?

Why was McGrady onthe cover? he is an amazing athlete. but most of the year he was on injured list.

Well think about it, Wade was on it last year so they really couldn't put him on it again, Shaq was on 2k6, Carmello is not really a cover type, Lebron is on the 2k7 cover, and now you have 2 positions left: T-Mac and Kobe, Obvious isn't it? Yes lets choose Kobe, but noooooo EA makes another Fu#k!n mistake again in their NBA Live series and chooses something the fans dont want. (My personal preferences)
But I think EA NBA live creaters hate Kobe so it makes it obvious choice for them to choose. Yes people dont like Kobe and his cocky but his last season deserves him to be on the cover more than T-Mac IMO. Besides that I dont know about Kobes previous game contracts, etc.

^actually, shaq is on the cover of nba 2k7 and kobe is on the cover of nba 07

Why does it matter? Why so much discussion about a cover? Anyhow, EA can choose whichever personality that they feel can market their game and they chose McGrady. This isn't a performance crown, it's merely a picture used to appeal to the market.

Think of it like this, Mcgrady and Live was injured last year and now they both have something to prove.

Haha, I like this one! I understand nobody cares about cover boy but still I would like to see my fav player on the cover ATLEAST once rather them putting players who are just OVERHYPED about but I completely understand the image which can market more money.

You can go to that thread where they made all their own custom Live covers and print one out... Paste it over Tracy McGrady...
