Dynasty Rookies

Anyone actually think theyll fix the terrible EA generated rookies for this year's game?

Dont know about you guys, but 6'1 SG's with 50 speed get quite annoying after a while.

Agreed. Rookies with 90 dunk and 50 jump... or perhapse those with 85 fg 80 3pt and 55 ft and the fact that they all seem to be 1 person. Good job EA as usual.

Point Guards with 40 pass and 35 FG
6'0-6'1 majority SG's
7'4 Centers with 80 speed but 15 quickness

Yeah EA needs to work on their rookies. The most annoying part is that none of them are from college. Its all like China and Asian players.

Those are all good points but the most annoying thing is the names. They havve like Miguel Julekonigun from USC....um....ok. I normally draft on name, if theres like a Steve Johnson or Demarcus Miller i take them over the good guys lol.

And i agree that the drafted rookies are messed up badly,once all the big names retire i have no desire to play the dynasty anymore because the rookies are'nt interesting or worth playing with.

all good points. The biggest thing that annoys me, is the fact that very few of them develop into good players, even the ones on my team that I put alot of training into.

I maybe in the minority, but I like playing out my dyansty til around year 25(i sim alot of the regular season), and the lack of superstars/stars gets annoying.

i hope they fix the rookies too. I get so sick of these 6'1-6'4 SG. i dont mind maybe one or two in an occasional draft but a bunch in one draft is insane. i think that a 6'6 PF is too small for a PF. I also hope that you get more decent rookies especially mostly in the top 20 picks. I also hope they have a mock draft and summer league to where you can watch your rookies play a game more. i would like to hear the name of the rookies at the introduction of the starting lineup in a game.

I hate getting the 1st pick, then end up having a bust from hell, who never start a game. They really need to fix it, quick.

They should have it like Madden's rookies system. That works perfectly.

i hate the rookies too, some would have average stats while others just suck. I wish they did it like madden where players ratings are good to begin with and say their names.

Wow, today, I just saw the worse created rookie ever. A center, 6'5'', 264lbs. Soo annoying. And the asian names such as Iwakana and all that. Don't know if this happens to others, but almost every 3rd rookie has that name & the face( playerpkg plyr079). EA really needs to do something about it.

There's your never ending list of Sato's and the Mhembe's. All the supposed Asian rookies look suspiciously American. What a great CAP system... 1000 ways to make the same damn person.

Not to be racist or anything, but they should limit the # of international players in the Dynasty Draft. There are too many international players go really high when in real life there's about 2-4 Internationals in the first round which are usually just Europeans.

i agree, there are always atleast 1 Vuu/Mbembe/Iwanaka in the draft. Also the asian players dont even look asian, theyre white guys with a shaved head and slightly squinty eyes

I like the 2k6 generated rookies....they have portraits (although they are generic)....they have good heights & weights & there strengths & weaknesses correlate....plus the commentator calls out their names

i agree. 2k6's rookies features are better in that they dont have really wack names, and their sizes are apporiate for their positions. having names that the announcers can call out has been a part of the 2k series for a long time. i espically liked it during their college hoops series, cause having high schoolers that have pronouceable names go through college is a real plus... ea needs to steal this one.

they also have a potential rating in the draft which is very cool if youre planning on rebuilding, definatley something live should look into

The only problems with the 2K6 rookies is that they are usually too heavy compared to real rookies and none of them are over 7'2.
