Ugh. Marbury is a piece of garbage and a half. Although it would be nice to see a KG/Marbury duo again.

I'm still not a fan of Marbury if this trade goes down, though. I like Ebi too much.

Tue Jul 04, 2006 9:10 pm

Marbury + KG would be interesting tho... but oh well, i wil ltake ur advice on board. (Y) Thanks for the feedback!

February Recap

Playoff Race 2006

The Timberwolves continued to struggle as they end the month having lost the most games during the season so far; out of their whole divison. However, it may be also appropriate to note that they did snap a 9 game losing streak in order to avoid losing 10 games in a row.

In related news, a playoff race has begun to form involving all of the Pacific Division but the Clippers. The Lakers' 10 game winning streak propelled them to the top of their division. They take a surprising lead in front of the Kings, Suns and the Warriors who are all seperated by just 1 game.

Meanwhile, the Rockets cemented their position at the top of the Western Conference edging out Denver with their 18-3 record while the Nuggets hit a bit of a hump with their record looking a bit more normal at 13-5.

In the Central Division, first place Chicago and the trailing Cavs, Pistons and Pacers are only seperated by 2 games, which seems like the perfect set up for an exciting race for the playoffs and finish to the season. New Jersey seem like the only safe team to make the playoffs with the rest of their Division holding records at .500 or under. And in the Southeast, it seems that whichever team out of the Magic, Hawks and Heat top the group will be the only team with a 'sure' ticket to the postseason.

Players of the Month

Kobe Bryant helped wind the clock back for the NBA as he had an incredible month of basketball. He's a unanimous choice for the MVP right now after averaging 41 ppg, 6 rpg, 8 apg and 2.8 spg for the month. This pushes his season averages up to 36 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 8 apg and 2.5 spg.The Lakers' Guard pushed his team to the top of their division and look set to make a return to the NBA play-offs and hence earning the Western Conference Player of the Month.

Indiana's Jermaine O'Neal put up 24 ppg, 10 rpg and 2 bpg to help lead the Pacers into the second half of the season and a possible play-off berth.

Rookie Marvin Williams is one of the reasons why the Atlanta Hawks are back in play-off contention as he averaged 13 ppg and 5 rpg. Martell Webster's solid all-around play continues in Portland as he wound up averaging 13 ppg, 6 rpg and 3apg.
