Cyberface Patchers Wanted for Roster Update (Decision Made)

As most people know, for the last couple of weeks I've been mulling over whether or not to continue the roster updates for NBA Live 06. I haven't made a decision yet but when I do, I'll be sure to let everyone know. Something that would make the updates a lot easier would be the use of face patches for the class of 2006, as well as some other missing players. If any cyberface patchers are interested in helping me out there, please let me know in this thread, via private messaging or by email.

Please note that this is the only assistance I would require at the moment, I don't need anyone to help me with the roster updates themselves (though feedback on ratings and other corrections are always welcome). Again, right now I still don't know if I'll continue with the updates but I'll make another announcement when I've made that decision. If I do decide not to continue the roster updates, I will be happy to pass them on to someone else to maintain.

I'm sorry you would be disappointed if I don't continue updating the rosters, but they have become somewhat of a chore to maintain and there are others things in my life I'd like to dedicate time and energy to rather than a mod for a video game. But as I said, utilising face patches would save me a lot of time in getting the offseason updates started so if I can get enough help there, I'm certainly still considering maintaining it.

Samutei and others have done a pretty comprehensive job doing cf's and portraits for just about all the rookie players. In fact, I believe they're all done, and are pretty good quality. Same goes for missing FA's from last year, I believe all the cf's and portraits have been made and are available in various threads on the board. I put together a missing FA speech .bat file a while back, that adds the speech id for all the players in your roster that may be missing. So I think if the post-draft NLSC roster is finalized, the corresponding face, portrait and speech files & info could be gathered in no time.

I'm willing to use whatever resources I'm granted permission to include with the roster, which is why I made this thread. A couple of people have contacted me about it already, so once I see how many people are willing and able to help out, I'll take a look at the situation and make a final decision.

I'll help out, if I get the time, with the Cyberfaces.

I can offer my help tho I would need to be caught up on how it's done with 06. I haven't created anything like this since maybe Live 01? It's been a while.

use the missing player patch i created in like April (i got permission from all the patchers) and oleenglishs draft installer.

The Sgsms file download Ole English includes in his draft installer includes most all the cyberfaces and portraits, but there are a few that need to be done. The sgsms folder in hammertimes roster download includes pretty much all of them, but he also has other uneccessary stuff in there like shoe patches and stuff.

I'd be more than happy to help in the areas of> making, fixing portraits, .dbf editing, .bat file creation of any type, quality control.

i dont have the game but i can still help. how bout some missing jersey also. like the retro ones, saint patrick's day etc. if not i can do just cyberfaces

Andrew one day we know that you will hang it up with for good. A sad day it will be for Live fans but there is other things in life. I can only think that 2007 roster will have to come from some other gifted person as yourself. If there is one more roster left in you for 2006 I can only hope that you and who's willing to help you by doing the face patches makes this one the best ever. No matter what happens thanks for all you have done for the game. 99.9% is the way to walk away just in case.

Yea you can't just use created player faces for this.

And I haven't granted the use of my roster patch just yet, since I've not made a decision on it yet. But I'm getting more of an idea of the situation and should be able to decide soon.

I have pretty much updated all the raptors (chris bosh current, tj ford current, matt bonner, morris peterson) just making them look current with hair and stuff, so if you want them just leave a pm. Also I've got all the team's correct gear and such (in the roster's dbf). A complete offseason roster update with cyberfaces and such would be awsome!
