Without screwing over the CPU with cheesy trades, what's the best roster you have ever achieved?
I'd imagine if one was lucky they could get a team like Miami and draft some kind of diamond in the rough rookie with the 29th pick who quickly blossoms into a 90+ rated star...though that's doubtful.
Then there's also pricing and having to give up bench depth for that kind of caliber of players...
I don't think it would be too out of the question to manage to get three 90+ stars on one team legitimately. I guess that's what you'd consider the 95-96 bulls.
As I've only had the game for a few month or so I can only dream about the possibilities but I was just curious about other people's expierences with this.

loolllllllll

I had a Hawks dynasty, here was my starting line up:
Dalembert: 80
Brand: 88
Smith: 90
Johnson: 87
Paul: 94
My best players off the bench were Travis Outlaw, Salim Stoudamire, and Dorell Wright though...
I won 4 straight championships before leaving for Boston.

Well now i have a knicks dynasty in my sig and its good.
Eddy Curry - 7o's
Channing Frye - 66
Steve Francis - 88
Devin Rodriguez - 97
Stephon marbury - 88
Overall - 93 So its okay its like SPurs and Pistons type.

That's really good Paul at 94

he's the man. I want to josh Smith to develop into a LeBron type player.

Smith gets good fast. Atlanta is one of the easiest teams to get really good, really fast. To get Brand, I traded Williams, Childress, and John Edwards. To get Daly i traded Harrington. To get Paul I traded Lue and my 1st round pick
Wed Jun 21, 2006 1:00 pm
That Paul and Lue thing is realistic because the Hornets make the stupidest decisions (Baron Davis for Speedy Claxton and a pick. As well as Jamaal Magloire for Desmond Mason).

My best was when I had a Lakers dynasty and I had Tim Duncan, Vince Carter and Kobe. Can't remember it too well though I won like 5 or 6 straight then they started to get shit.
Thu Jun 22, 2006 3:16 am
Yea but that's very illegitimate. There's no way the lakers could get all of those players.
Thu Jun 22, 2006 3:21 am
C - Nenad Krstic 84 overall
PF - Dwight Howard 96 overall
SF - Trevor Ariza 79 overall
SG - J.J. Redick 84 overall
PG - Tony Parker 88 overall
6th man: Darko Milicic 72 overall

During my first season with the Sixers I traded Chris Webber (and his $19M contract) to Toronto for Michael Bonner (64avg rated PF) and their 1st round draft pick. It turns out that even with a front court of Bosh-Webber-Villanueva, Toronto finished in the lottery and I got two great picks (Yoruba at C, Duke at SG).
^With a lot of cap space I then got Dwight Howard for Andre Iguodala (the Magic always want shooting guards).
Two seasons later, Allen Iverson was still really good and I had:
C Yoruba 80-ish
F Dwight 90ish
F Korver
G Duke 80ish
G Iverson 90ish
^technically if you had a team like that in real life they'd win the championship. And I did
(Also in a NYK dynasty I once had:
C Curry (hi 80s)
F Frye (hi 80s)
F Lebron (99)
G Wade (90s)
G CP3 (90s)
...but that was just insane, lol.)

No I actually did. My bench was full of shit rookies.
Thu Jun 22, 2006 10:19 am
I once had
Curry (82 w/ power)
Okafor (86 w/ power)
James (99 with pretty much whatever you want)
Hughes (88 w/ OS)
Parker(84 w/ pm)
Of course i prefer playing with a more realistic team.
Thu Jun 22, 2006 10:46 am
I had this one time, i was just simming and making moves tho:
DENVER
C- Chris Bosh (94; Inside Stopper and Inside Scorer)
PF- Dwight Howard (91; Inside Stopper and Power)
SF- Tayshaun Prince (82; Inside Scorer and Shooter and Inside Stopper)
SG- Julius Hodge (74; Outside Scorer )
PG- Shaun Livingston (84; Playmaker)
6th- Luol Deng (74; Inside Scorer)
Thu Jun 22, 2006 12:18 pm
This roster was definitely not legitimate, but I managed to get it in only my second year. I did a fantasy draft, then ripped off the computer with a bunch of bad trades.
Starters:
Yao Ming C
Amare Stoudamire PF
Ron Artest SF
Lebron James SG
Gilbert Arenas PG
Bench:
Dwight Howard C
Chris Bosh PF
Tayshaun Prince SF
Joe Johnson SG
Chauncee Billups PG

i dont even think that 'legitimate' and 'stacked rosters' can possibly be used in the same sentence
Fri Jun 23, 2006 1:25 am
Well I used them so deal with it.

legit are always more fun too!
Sat Jun 24, 2006 3:13 am
Yes, keepin it realistic is the best thing you can do.
But I cant really answer, because I usually dont try to get star players anyway ......
Mon Jun 26, 2006 12:09 am
Fantasy Team
Amare Stoudamire
Stromile Swift
Shane Battier
Kobe Bryant
Chauncey Billups
But in my Dallas Mavericks off-season, Pistons acquired LeBron James giving Cavaliers Chauncey Billups..

Speak about intellegent A.I...
Mon Jun 26, 2006 1:01 am
what pick did you have?

He's talking about real life...no way the real life lakers can get those...
But my best roster playing legit and realistic was with the WIZ in my 4th year
I had:
-A center I drafted and I coached. His stats went from 71 to 82(power dunker)
-A.Jamison, he was old but still averaged 19/10 a game(inside scorer)
-J.Hayes, he was 77
-A 1-year pro I picked up that was a 68. May seem low but this kid could shoot, his FG was 85 and 3PT was 77
-G.Arenas, he was 96 and straight up owned(outside scorer)
I also had a strong bench and I was rated a 92
We won the championship that year but fell apart the next year when Jamison retired, I couldnt resign my rookie becuse didnt have enough money and I couldnt resign my stronger bench players. Im currently trying to rebuild my team and get another championship with the wiz. I didnt do any trades, only some trades that were presented to me because the Wiz dont trade much. I think I played pretty legit.

The Boston Celtics as is get a bunch of young guys into the 80s pretty quickly. One dynasty I did had Paul Pierce in the 90s, Wally in the 80s, Delonte in the 80s, Tony Allen in the 80s, Jefferson in the 80s, Gomes in the 80s, Gerald Green in the 80s, Oriene Greene high 60s, Raef 70s, and Perkins very high 70s.
It was a little too good for me, but I didn't even make any trades.
Fri Jun 30, 2006 3:39 am
Yea I do many Celtics dynasties trying to get Gerald Green to be a superstar, but after like 5 years I can only get him to like an 84 overall.
