Hollinger Update: PIECE OF CRAP! Now I know why nobody using this formula! In order to find out the final PER for one person, you have to compute the PER's for EVERY FRICKEN PERSON IN THE LEAGUE in order obtain a standardized number... SO MUCH WORK!

Anyway, I'll try to get that going this weekend, currently I have a software development final that I've been stressin on, so hopefully that'll be done before to long.

Hollinger Playoff Progess(finally)
Well, it took me a bit to realize that the players that are trying standardize in the Hollinger formula would be primarily(if not only) the players involved in the NLSC Dynasties and not necessarily, each and every player in each of the 16 teams for every NLSC playoff run.

So, two things(until I become a bit more ambitious and masochistic):
1) there will two columns of PER: One is the player's PER standardized according to the rest of his teammates during that playoff run.
2) The other PER will be standardized according to all players submitted from the first submission and onward, in other words, the PER will always be dynamic, but due to the law of averages, after an extended amount of submissions, the standard will level out.

Here's what's nice about the Hollinger formula, according to John Hollinger himself:

I've set it up so that the league average, every season, is 15.00, which produces sort of a handy reference guide:
A Year For the Ages: 35.0
Runaway MVP Candidate: 30.0
Strong MVP Candidate: 27.5
Weak MVP Candidate: 25.0
Bona fide All-Star: 22.5
Borderline All-Star: 20.0
Solid 2nd option: 18.0
3rd Banana: 16.5
Pretty good player: 15.0
In the rotation: 13.0
Scrounging for minutes: 11.0
Definitely renting: 9.0
On next plane to Yakima: 5.0

I am currently on a 'leave of absense' from NLSC until June 12th as I finish up and concentrate on my software development final. It's been kicking my butt for the last week and a half but should be done by this weekend. After that, everyone has my full attention.

I apologize to people that have submitted their stats recently, I'll be attacking those as soon as I press "submit" on my last final of the year. Cheerios for now!

It's called the running Leaderboard because it only keeps the last 10 submissions...since your submission is way past 10, you're players have dropped off.

WELL, I'm back, if anyone missed me, I'm done with my Soft Dev Final project, took a day off and now I'm back into the swing of things. Since I don't have class until Autumn, you should see Honor Glow on the forum boards consistently through out the summer months, I hope that Live 06's interest hasn't waned in the week and a half that I was gone..

liveGMC UPDATE
One thing we learned about in my software dev course was the big buzzword: scalability. In other words, regarding NBA Live, will the code handle the next year or the next year without having to write or rewrite an extensive amount of code. AND of course, being the dummy that I am, go figure I had to have one complete script for each Live version. Well, NO LONGER!

Now, that I'm two nuggets smarter, I was able to morph all versions of the Birdie Board into one robust script and for all us, now we can use a pull down menu to guide from year to year! Check the Beta version out!:

So, that's a little bit of a tribute to the X as he had thrown out a concept that was really similar to that AND it's also paying homage to all that pain I had to go through during my final project(some of the concepts, I took straight from my final)

Anyway, I know it's not like Flash or Ajax...but at least it's SCALABLE!

yep, I got a HD LCD today so I should be starting up a dynasty sometime soon would be nice if 2k series was on PC....but alas, it's not to be....

Did you reset your Dynasty? I tried loading up your pstat and for some reason it says that this year and stage have already been submitted. I do see that your roster has changed. So can I safely assume that this is paradizecityz's version #2 of the rockets?

yea its different, i never finished that last dynasty becuz my hard drive failed and i lost all files so i started a new one which is this one...
