Approve of trade?(Long Read)

Wed Jun 14, 2006 7:39 am

So i just finished my first season of live06 and won the championship--My team is the Nets and its obvious how i need some more depth in my frontcourt, its the offseason and i thought of getting another PF on the team(preferrably Chris Wilcox)..

i didnt resign Boston Nachbar,Jacque Vaughn and Jeff McInnis to give me some cap space so i could sign Chris Wilcox...however seattle already resigned him so now i had to acquire him via trade,..i signed Jamal Sampson of the Charlotte Bobcats(he was a free agent) and i tried to work out a deal for Wilcox...after numerous trade options, the duo of Jamal Sampson and Zoran Plananic got traded to seattle for Wilcox...after 5 games or so, i felt Wilcox didnt fit into my style of play, he couldnt rebound much, so i thought of packaging another deal(involving Wilcox and some other players) to the Rockets for Stromile Swift....however the Rockets GM wouldnt budge,he was completely against trading Swift so i thought of getting a rebounder and a shotblocker to solidify my inside presence

then it hit me why not get the original Net(Kmart back on the team) afterall hes more familiar with the Nets offense so i worked out a deal involving Jason Collins and Chris Wilcox to Denver for Kenyon Martin

Offseason Moves
1)Signed Jamal Sampson

First Trade
Jamal Sampson & Zoran Plananic to Seattle for Chris Wilcox

Second Trade
Chris Wilcox & Jason Collins to Denver for Kenyon Martin

Current Roster
C- Nenad Krstic
PF-Kenyon Martin

Bench

It certainly makes your team formidable, though I'm not 100% sure Denver would let Martin go for Chris Wilcox, though it's possible with how badly they seem to want rid of him.

damn... now u got a championship team (if u never have to substitute :P)

krstic is a good player without any doubts... but i don't think he's a good C
but then again, u can't put K-Mart on that position either

all in all good team (but your bench lacks in depth)

thanks guys..my bench on paper looks very cheap and inadequate but thanks to my 3 assistant coaches who worked out Antwoine Wright and Krstic all season long, very soon they will develop into Superstars to chip in...i have a 2-3 man substitution pattern so my starters get about 36mins per game, good enuff not to wear them out as the season progresses...my biggest problem is Chris Robinson retiring at the end of my second year,it will leave me in a very tough position
