Drafts in the dynasty

something related to this could have already come up in the forums but whatever. So i spend a while on a dynasty and manage my team as i would in real life because i think the more realistic the funner. Then ill finish my first season and my dynasty is ruined because of the new drafts. Players like Mike Pierce and Paul Bibby flood my game and completely ruin it. Each season passes and it gets worse and worse and i get really pissed off. Is there any way i can download a real draft class, or create one or find some way to avoid having a draft with Shaquille Arenas. thanks for the help.

yeah that would be cool...like have people in the draft that would come in this year, like morrison or noah or rudy gay...if someone has a patch for that i would greatly appreciate it...

Nope. Well, not without having to edit a bunch of .dbf files.

In my 'Cats dynasty, some black guy with a japanese last name from oklahoma went 6th or 7th

i drafted a guy in my twolves dynasty with the 19th pick and he had the name Armon Garnett, so I had KG and AG. He was actually a really good player though, and he averaged 16 points and 7 assists over a simulated rookie year starting at SG.

I have just had to change all the names myself....and damn, it has been a headache to do. It is easy, but I still have to edit their ratings afterwards, and that takes forever, because they like to make a WHOLE LOT of unathletic draftees, and the computer likes to draft people projected a lot lower, and in many cases, these are people I didn't get to edit their ratings. It's kinda turned me off from doin the dynasty mode, because rookies and their development are crucial.

Man...I wish they could make it as easy and as good as the NCAA football to Madden import draft...those come out perfect. They have a few steals here and there, and some busts, but the ratings transfer great and they keep the same appearance. When NBA Live did have the import feature on PS2 back in 04 from March Madness, it was completely garbage and you can tell they rushed it. The players ratings would be completely different, and the appearance files didn't even match up....a black dude with a dark fro would end up bein light skinned with a blonde mullet.

Well all I did was changed the generated rookies that are created. I am in my third season, so I have about two seasons of rookies. Many of the ratings are way off, but most of the basics are there, such as height size and looks (close enough). If you just want my players.dbf file to see who I used and all then I can send you that, but you'll still have to edit the rookies one by one.

Is there a list of names the draft picks names are generated from? I would love to edit it. There's too many of the same names that pop up that aren't NBA players. I'm hoping in NBA Live 07 theres more cyberface variety in draft picks because all players I draft from Asia look the same.

I mainly just used NBADraft.net, and I did most of it during the NCAA tournament so I was using a lot of the players who I heard during that time. But mainly NBADraft.net because they have projections for the 06 and 07 draft, as well as many draft profiles.

Btw, is it just me or doesn't live use all the possibilities that face creation offers? All rookies have the same faces and headshapes with only slight differences. Why? Whyyyyy?
