FUCK THIS GOD DAMN GAME

FUCK THIS GAME PISSES THE SHIT OUT OF ME. WTF is up with the DUMBASS fuckin AI. The other fuckin team hits clutch fade away 3's with 3 defenders and gets easy ass bitch dunks. I can't fuckin keep a 5 point lead. I had a 5 point lead and BOOM all this bullshit keeps happening including fuckin AI throwing the ball away on inbound pass. I FUCKIN have the lead the game fucking whole time and ALWAYS in the fuckin 4th quarter the FUCKIN cpu starts fuckin cheating. Doesnt fuckin call any offensive fouls after 4 fuckin KNoCK downs!!!! ALWAYS in the 4th quarter EVERYTHING GOING the god damn cpus way. WTF why cant i fuckin win by more than 1 fuckin point in superstar????!?!?!?
ANOTHER THING, SO MANY FUCKIN fast breaks. I shoot a quick 3, NO ONE ON MY TEAM under my basket they are all on the other side AND THE FUCKIN CPU GETS A FAST BREAK ANYWAY!!! WTF???? Also wtf is up with my team MISSING 2 foot shots ALL THE FUCKIN TIME especially in crucial situations. Im typing on a broken fuckin keyboard cause this game is a little bitch ass whore.

All star is way too easy. I can win by 30 points. I just hate how the computer cheats rather than play smart. I can barely get off a fastbreak cause the cpu runs 50mph while i run at normal speed. This game is full of bs, i have calmed down now. I guess i better not play on superstar level otherwise ill break something else. Ha

I've never played a more aggravating game in my life. I dont mind losing a game every now and then because it definitely makes it more interesting, but when i lose a game because Im missing dunks and cpu guys who dont even shoot 3's are hitting em fading away over triple teams it really pisses me off. Since 2000, the graphics have gotten 10x better but the gameplay has gotten 10x worse. And what the hell is up with only being able to configure half your controls. Come on. Thats almost as aggravating as the gameplay.

I read the old gripes and this is the first one I've seen about how you can't customize your controls differently between offense and defense, I wanted my block button to be my shot button and my steal button to be my pass button.. like I've played it on every NBA Live game to '00 and most other games, but'chya can only choose one-way.. Apparently EA had a lot of complaints about the mind blowing customization possibilities in the controller config from the old versions and decided to help us out. thanks a lot ea.

superstar mode is waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy too easy. i also win by 20 to 30 all the time. also my final score after 4 quarters is like 170 points

LOL OMG that was the funniest crap ever! I laughed my ass off reading what Malignant wrote. Damn we should make a comedy section on this forum just for that. Man unbelievable. I totally agree with you tho! EA sucks balls and the only thing PC gamers can do is patch it up and hope that next year they make a better one. Oh well, its only a game.

On one level [for me is starter], I blow them out by 50 with 9 minute quarters, then I go to all-star and it goes the other way. I don't lose by 50 but I lose by like 15 or 18 no matter how hard I try.
I adjusted the ratings with Don Daily's thingy, but it's all still the same, from one level to the next the thing goes like this:
On one level the human can do no wrong, the computer plays pretty poorly, then on the next the human sucks, the computer slams down open breaks on lobs over and over, also I was playing Houston and Francis made 10-12 3 pointers in the second half.
The people at EA really do suck, they indeed have improved many things, remember when 2001 was all these offensive rebounds, now it's impossible almost to get one, couldn't they pick some middle ground??
They fix everything to the extreme, they do everything in leaps not in slight increases, I mean one level I rock on the next I can't do anything.
IT SUCKS.
Also the 4th quarter thing is true, they just start pressing and taking the ball over and over, also I get ball down low to Shaq and Ming strips him everytime in the 4th quarter.
My last complaint for now is the passing, steals and blocks.
If you dare pass the ball on a "skip" pass, which is cross court skipping one guy, it will be stolen 99.9% of the time. On higher levels almost all entry passes are gone, the puter snatches everything.
The blocks in this game were the first thing I remember being wrong.
Once I was playing against Detroit and Jon Barry got 12 blocks against a 95 rated Paul Pierce, I could not get a shot off against this jackass.
The blocks are everywhere and it's downright gross.
It should be EA's job to worry less about someone like Tony Huml getting all the Allen Iverson junk right and work on some sort of real game.
Lastly I guess I have one last complaint.
YOU CAN TRADE ALMOST ANY TWO PLAYERS FOR ONE AND THREE FOR TWO.
I can trade Walter McCarty and Bruno Sundov for Tim Duncan??????????

Hmmm. I don't have the problem of Losing... I win on Superstar level.. ofcourse my PLAYER LOCKED player gets about 60 points, but i still win.. That why I don't play in superstar...
Plus my player is on 60 in offensive rebounds and I can still get as many as I like... It pisses me off cause no player with a 60 rating should get 12 OFFENSIVE boards a game... Its harder to get defensive boards than offensive...
But what pisses me off is when a computer player slams in a rebound, when you only grab it and shoot it!!!

that was so funny, i laughed my ass off, i dropped my popcicle too from laughing...
but ya when i got the demo, i play on all-star and i killed the computer in that 4minutes, 30-10, than i was like this game looks easy, than i played hte demo on superstar and it was crazy i had the lead 8-6 than kerry kittles comes down and hits 4 3s in a row over 2 defenders, what the hell is up with that? than fucking jason kidd comes and just on fast breaks and just go straight down and runs over derek fisher, nofoul called and does like a 360 lay-up or something like that. than rick fox i made him go upfor a dunk but he didn't dunk and he did like a reverse 360 fingerroll, i was like what the hell, just cause you can't dunk doesn't mean you can does impossible lay-ups, than that made me not want to buy the game and now since live 2001 came out, i am waiting for live 2004

I was one of the most verbal critics of NBA Live 2003 for becoming NBA Jam. 2004 is much improved over 2003 but there are still some problems.
The computer is now too good on defense, to the point, that it is very difficult just to get to the basket. The computer players seem to be evreywhere at the same time. You seem to bounce off of them like there is a force field blocking your path to the basket. Even teams that are not good defensive teams are all over you like a cheap suit. If you don't get back on defense the computer players will fast break or pass to the other end of the court and get easy baskets repeatedly. They seem to run twice as fast as your players.
Another complaint I have is that the ratings don't seem to have much to do with how a player actually performs. Players with very low ratings seem to fly around your players.
The graphics do not seem as good as 2003's but the player movements are much more realistic.
In my opinion, Despite it's flaws, it's much better and more realistic than Live 2003.

This thred is freakin true- I was playin on superstar, Then the CPU is raining threes triple-team fadeaways against 7-footers. then the stupid part is i had the lead with 2 seconds then ginobili throws up this insane 60-footer and makes it. so we go into OT. then the CPU has a 1 point lead, i inbound the ball to shaq about 10 ft. away. then this freakin 6-footer blocks the damn shot!!! WTF??? Whers the settings editor 4 this crap?
