Perimeter Defense

I didn't really look all that hard, but I don't think I've ever seen this request:

EA needs to find a way for perimeter defense to be more important. I don't know about you guys, but players like Bowen or Artest are pretty much defensively worthless to me. A good perimeter defender doesn't really do much for your team as is. I'd like to see EA come up with something that will make perimeter defense more important. Like maybe make it harder to beat a good defender than an average one (much more so than it is now). And they shouldn't just make it easier to get steals; I want to be able to use my perimeter defender to shut down my opponant's players, to be able to prevent him from driving and consistantly challenge his shots.

I love the idea. It's always bugged how Stephen Jackson is just as good a perimeter defender on the game as Ron Artest.

Sounds good. Make them body you up more and make it harder to get around the guy. Cool beans.

The game would be 10x worse if they just increased steals.

maybe add a lockdown stick like in march madness 06.

wouldnt that be reflected by defensive awareness? or does that do nothing in game.

It does nothing in game, as far as I know.
