Do players have a hidden development-stat?

Wed Apr 19, 2006 12:24 am

I just wondered if a hidden development stat exists for other than Dynasty-draft generated players?

If so, can anybody tell us where it is found, maybe post a list, so we can take a look on how EA has projected player development for different players?

I do not trust them a lot seing how they made the default player ratings, and it would be great if we could make sure that players like Marvin Williams and Gerald Green had a better chance of being future stars than fx Andrew Bogut who doesn't have as much upside.

(Oh, and please don't make this an "Andrew Bogut rocks and will average 30 ppg soon" or "Marvin Williams sux"-thread)

Yes, they do. More information can be found here.

So if i wanted to start a Hawks Dynasty and have Marvin Williams develope into a superstar, I would need to edit this?

EARNING: Learning Attribute - used with Destiny to determine the likelihood a player will improve with training
WORKETHIC: Work Ethic Attribute - determines the likelihood a player will stay in shape as well as improve with training

That's correct.

don't forget DESTINY (Y)
but it takes some time before player becomes a superstar...4-6 seasons

What is the ideal value for these categories, is low good? What are the ranges? I know destiny goes from 0(best) to 8(worst) but what about work ethic and learning?

Work Ethic appears to range from 0-3, 0 being the best and 3 being the worst. Learning appears to be a standard 0-99 rating, 0 being the worst and 99 being the best.
