Editing a player through DBF not working

I have simmed the first season of a dynasty to get the computer generated rookies so I could change one of them to be someone different.

I opened the players.dbf file from saves>bulls in DBFCommander, but all it had was just the players from my team, and no one else. (They also all had 0 for their birthdate, if it matters)

So anyway, I edited to rookie I wanted to, changing his name and stats... went into the game, and nothing had changed.

I tried editing it with CDBF, but opening the players.dbf file with CDBF only showed players that werent in my team, so I couldnt edit anyone through that.

If anyone has any information on this, itd be awesome because Im just stuck

it worked for me..then i simmed another year and now nothing works

but half the time it doesnt work on the 2005 year even

Do you get the birthdates at 0 as well?

yep

if you use db commander, try using CDBF editor, it worked for me
