NBA Live 2006 (Xbox) . How do I (set screen and double team)

Using the Xbox, and an S controller, I've not been able to exactly figure how TO (or what is exactly) a 'screen'. I see it mentioned a lot in the Prima guide, but I don't know exactly what they mean. Also the key combination mentioned to use is (HOLD L trigger). So, if I hold the L trigger doesn't that simply 'invoke' any FreeStyle Superstar moves?
I guess I wanted to know if a 'screen' is all that much 'different' from simply running a "Give and Go", a "Pick N Roll", or anything like that? If so, what do it with the L trigger when that is simply a PLAY you call with the D pad?
Next (and this one really bugs me) ....
Ok, So I'm playin as the Denver Nuggets, and I have Anthony Miller as my PG (my defensive plays call for a double team when I hit the D pad down). So, say Areans is bringing the ball up the court ... I have Miller waiting for him to cross the mid-court line, and then I get right up on him and press the D pad DOWN (to invoke the double team) ... I see the play called on the screen (the black box at the top), but rarely ever does another player come over to help? I had it working once (where I actually got help EVERYTIME I used the double team play (wish was cool ... I could see Miller covering the PG, I hit DT, and he comes Kenyon Martin over to help ... worked everyday.
Any suggestions?
Also, what good is the defensive matchups? I've set them many time when playing the Lakers .... I set Double Team to YES and Press to HIGH on Kobe ... but most of the time, I never seem getting double teamed?
What is the difference between Man-To-Man defense and 1/2 Man-to-Man defense?
