I've never seen worst angling(is that even a word?) in my life. Just looks like a glitch.

That's plain and simple a block, no glitch. And the angle is perfectly fine.

Whatever you say, maybe it's just a skip in the animation.

"a skip in the animation"... What were you expecting? It's an animated GIF, not a DVD, dammit!
And you should be thankful it has those skips... even with that choppy animation, it's a 1 Mb image!

I've heard it existed...but I was never sure if the mythical "block off the backboard" was in Live 2003...now I know

It didn't touch the backboard... it's just a block.

Yea he just smashed it out of P squared hands as he cocked it back. I did with Derrick Coleman on Shaq when I first got the game. Only took one screenie though

I had assumed it was poor collision detection in the game and that the ball was "supposed" to have hit the backboard with that block...I figured since Kobe swung his arm towards the backboard and the ball came back away from the backboard that the ball must have hit the backboard...
I guess it was just a regular block...

I think it might hit the backboard in the screenshot. I can never get blocks from behind (I could have a player with 99 jump, 99 strength, and 99 blocks, and I can't do it.)

yeah rarely do i get blocks from behind.. i've gotten backboard blocks though.. although the angle it occurred at was quite a weird one.. it wasn't really a backboard block come to think of it, it more or less richocheted onto it.. but yeah.. its possible though.
