make sure you got the latest drivers for it, have you tried running any other games with your new card

Have you updated your Nforce drivers/VIA? You might want to do that. What kind of motherboard you have by the way.

I have the same problem and the same graphic card. EN6600 GT. The game worked OK in the past. Then I didn`t play it for about 2 months and now it doesn`t work. As you said, the screen black out and few secs later pc restarts. I tried to reinstall, reinstall again and delete folders in program files and my documents and copy/paste birth*.dbf files from original cd. It still doesn`t work.

I don`t have any more ideas what can be wrong..

RAM is not the problem. Also not the graphic processor temperature. Registry mechanic didn`t help too. I wonder if there is any other thing to try before reinstalling windows which I won`t do.

OK that worked but just for a few games. It will sound stupid but I ran Disc Cleanup (start - programs - accessories - system tools..) and I played more than 10 games without crashing. Maybe the problem wasn`t there but it works now..

I also went to my PC shop with PC and they tested graphic card for 2 days. They said that it`s nothing wrong with it.

Still nothing new on that? Anyone fixed it? It happens to me quite often. I have to close few programs, run registry mechanic and disk cleanup and then it works for a game or two. Very, very strange situation. I tried a lot of things and noone helps completely. I wonder what was so different at the beggining when game worked without problems all the time.

This may seem obvious, but are you doing any spyware cleanup? If not, get =Spybot Search and Destroy
=AdAware

(google them)

Yes I do. Spybot, Spyware Doctor, eTrust Pest Patrol, ...
I played NHL 06 a lot last two months and it happened only once. It doesn`t happen with other games.
