"Wife-beater" texture

I hope everyone knows what i mean? I'd like to make some "wife beater tank tops" but can't quite figure out how to make the lines look ribbed? Any help would be great, I'm trying to make some practice gear--and I usually ball with a wife beater and some nike shorts?
