LA up so far against Boston
EDIT: LAKERS WIN 105-97
EDIT SOME MORE: LAKERS JUST SURPASSED THEIR WIN TOTAL FROM LAST SEASON
Tue Mar 21, 2006 1:07 pm
I couldn't find the game on TV, but I 'watched' the play-by-play as I was doing some homework. Good win for Lakers. Another 40+ point game for Kobe, even if he had to take 39 shots to get there. (He made 18)
Tue Mar 21, 2006 1:20 pm
Its amazing that 43 points from Kobe isnt that great to me anymore.
Great win for La-La land. Now this is where the undefeated run begins(for the last time).

Well... it IS only 8 points above his average.
Tue Mar 21, 2006 2:29 pm
its only with Kobe and MJ where you hear that someone is "held" to 28 or "held" to 30
here's the Homestreatch (literally) 10 of next 13 games are at STAPLES. (i dont know why i all caps it, but im already used to it) i hope the Lakers dont have stupid games ala vs. Boston, Atlanta, @Cleveland, @New Jersey

Lakers playing Sactown next! Time for revenge?

Time to play for that 7th seed!
Thu Mar 23, 2006 2:44 pm
Good first half by the Laker's against the Kings. Leading 53-40 after a last second 3 by Kobe to end the 2nd quarter.
Hopefully they keep up the good play, especially how they played in the first quarter.
Thu Mar 23, 2006 2:48 pm
Kwame has 11 points 6 boards at the half!
Thu Mar 23, 2006 3:21 pm
He has 17 at the moment.
Kwame for MVP!!
...yeah right.
Thu Mar 23, 2006 3:31 pm
Kwame finished with a season high 21 and 12.
Good win by the Lakers, 87-80.
Thu Mar 23, 2006 9:16 pm
do they still have a chance to get Memphis (so they have the "easiest" division leader in the Denver Nuggets)
7th gets you Phoenix, 8th gets you Dallas/San Antonio
MEM 38-29
LAL 36-34
SAC 34-34
NO/OK 32-33
and do the Hornets still have a chance?
Fri Mar 24, 2006 12:08 am
I would hope they would have a chance at the playoffs...but as of today they are 32-33 and under .500 , and just got off a losing streak. The losing streak however , involved losses against several potential playoff teams so they played a kind of "rough" schedule during that period. It would be great for the NBA and a feel-good story if the team from a city ravaged by Katrina managed to make the playoffs , and it might be possible if they beat the teams they are supposed to beat ie games against Toronto , Utah , etc
It doesn't look too good for them though , if Sacramento and LA keep winning games.

just saw this and I realize how much Kobe simulates Jordan, see his moves and the celebrations
Fri Mar 24, 2006 2:30 am
wow that video was interesting..didnt know their moves were that similar

Lol yeah, he should've idolized someone like Vernon Maxwell. That bastard.
I actually thought the video was really cool. I'm never going to understand why Kobe "copying" MJ is a bad thing.
Fri Mar 24, 2006 7:45 am
Its kinda funny in that even though some of those moves are freakishly similar, the others can be matches up with alotta other players. Cool video though.

Just a mental ntoe to everyone... in Washington when Kwame had a good game it was against the kings... maybe the kings are the team who Kwame likes to play good against most?
Fri Mar 24, 2006 11:31 am
I didnt said he copying Mj was a bad thing, but the fact that he said he idolized Magic johnson and hate Mj when he came into the L.

He probably lied......but he's still a hell of player tough.
Fri Mar 24, 2006 9:09 pm
Copying MJ isn't the bad thing, Jordan had perfect moves, dunks and other elements in the game so when i saw that movie i was surprised in the good way! Kobe is not MJ but
he's skills are definity on MJ level. I think that Kobe is way better then others in NBA and i know that can't be compared to MJ. But we need to be honest about Kobe Bryant quality and when i watching Kobe Bryant games i see that he is on that level, like MJ was when he played- much better then others.
Fri Mar 24, 2006 10:06 pm
Yea, Kobe is probably the best developed player in the League individual-wise(KG is pretty close though), too bad neither of them has decent players built around them... really hard not to feel pathetic when you see the Lakers & Wolves struggling the past 2 years.
Sat Mar 25, 2006 2:02 am
Struggling maybe but La is totaly new team in buildup/ so they needs some time to set up all the things and they'll be damn good team, i'm sure about that,
Kobe's got lot of season to play and he'll improve thats for sure- imagine better Kobe then he is rightnow(:, Phill is here, they are much better then last year Lakers, with dedicated work they'll be in top 3 west team.
Sat Mar 25, 2006 8:00 am
Imagine how good the Lakers could be if Bynum developed nicely, and Kwame was able to play like he did against the Kings on a regular basis.
