Discussion about NBA Live 2003.

i've made this thing ages ago, just never came about to putting the files together, making screenshots and stuff like that... and it's also been delayed for a bit because of the nbalive.org rebuilding... so finally... there's something new to release

.
anyway, as you can see from the screenshots, i've eliminated all EA SPORTS logos from the screen overlays, and replaced them with ESPN ones for a "TV-feel" while playing... the instant replay "zoom" logo that flashes into the screen with the actual logo that's been used in the TV broadcasts (i couldn't find it anywhere online, so i drew it from scratch, i guess it's close enough), aswell as the pause menu screen, which also has the ESPN logo. As for the shotclock logo, there i couldn't make it look exactly like it is on TV (isn't possible), so i improvised a little (with the animations too), but i think it still looks pretty good... you can check the animation how the logo behaves during gameplay
here.
grab it you-know-where,
and enjoy
[EDIT] There was a bug with the patch, it could seriously damage your game, i recommend you download it again, and use it at your own risk. I have no idea why its messed up, but now it should work i hope...

the replay logo was actually used during the times ESPN was doing the NBA coverage (they even had that logo during their instant replays)... i saw it on tv, and tried to match it as closely as i could...

(Y) Now we can have a tv-feel of the game. I'm bored of those ea medallions.

You really put up a great job on that zoom thing. Glad to see you guys posting here again.

Great Job Tony!
BTW--is there a way to edit the text like have the "Nike Player of the game" or "Honda's finals MVP"
Tue Jun 17, 2003 2:05 am
doubt it, since they all use the same file (or atleast the player of the game screen uses it, not sure about the mvp)... i think it isn't possible to seperate which file it shows...
