Okay, 1st place gets an additional 0.030, 2nd place gets an additional 0.020 & 3rd place gets an additional 0.010. Because the 1st 2 spots are tied, 0.050 will be split evenly between cwebbiverson & pHLo. The 4 people tied for 3rd place will split the 0.010. For each matchup that a person participated in, they get an additional 0.001, so if you participated in all 15 matchups, you get an additional 0.015 to your score.

'Power' ratings can be used to either demand, influence or request trades or roster movement or reshuffling. The higher your rating, the more chance you will have that I will pull it off for you. NLSC ballers like Dweaver & Mark are not eligible to use their influence as they have less than 1 full selection round (15 matchups), so until they reach that, they have no control over their careers. I haven't determined exactly what the ratings might be like, possible 0.800 to 1.00 will be able to demand a trade & pick the situation they want to go in, or influence another teammate being moved. Below 0.500 has no influence. Between 0.500 to 0.600 can request more playing time. Between 0.700 to 0.800 can demand a trade, but can't pick the situation. Between 0.600 to 0.700 can request a trade (can't pick situation) or can demand more playing time. These aren't set in stone, and I'm open to suggestions, just a bit of fun & intrigue. Something different.

NLSC POWER/INFLUENCE RATINGS

cwebbiverson (0.740, 10.5/15.0pts + 0.040 bonuses)

pHLo (0.740, 10.5/15.0pts + 0.040 bonuses)

Andreas Dahl (0.551, 8.0/15.0pts + 0.0175 bonuses)

Jugs (0.551, 8.0/15.0pts + 0.0175 bonuses)

The X (0.551, 8.0/15.0pts + 0.0175 bonuses)

Crunk-Lao (0.551, 8.0/15.0pts + 0.0175 bonuses)

Sit (0.515, 7.5/15.0pts + 0.015 bonuses)

Negative One (0.482, 7.0/15.0pts + 0.015 bonuses)

D-Weaver99027 (0.585, 8.0/14.0pts + 0.014 bonuses)

Malfa (0.511, 5.5/11.0pts + 0.011 bonuses)

Anthony15 (0.466, 5.0/11.0pts + 0.011 bonuses)

Shaun (0.446, 3.5/8.0pts + 0.008 bonuses)

Thierry (0.721, 5.0/7.0pts + 0.007 bonuses)

keepnitgangsta1 (0.503, 1.5/3.0pts + 0.003 bonuses)

zmac (1.001, 1.0/1.0pts + 0.001 bonuses)

as for Big Ben, won't happen as I don't have the cap room, nor do I expect the Pistons to let him go after winning the title....then again, stranger things have happenned  my main priority is resigning your man, Pryz-bizz

you can request it, not demand it....although given your NBA future, I'm sure you can demand lots of PT in the NBL

COLLEGIATES STILL RULE THE DRAFT - PART ONE

By 'Tim Logler'
NLSC Insider

Updated: June 14, 2006, 9.56 PM ET --

With the 2006 NBA Draft just over a week away and the pre-draft camps all completed and with workouts in full swing, let's take a look at the stock of a few of those noteworthy collegiate players who have made big impressions on team's scouts & GM's from around the country. We'll start off in the Southwest Region, which hosts the 2006 NCAA Champion, Texas Longhorns. Who would have thought it possible, but the Longhorns were the best team in the country in both football & basketball. Whilst star combo guard Daniel Gibson has elected to return for his junior season, a sophomore sensation that took the country by storm & a senior who took his game to a whole new level, feature in this year's draft.

LaMARCUS ALDRIDGE

Image

Players of LaMarcus Aldridge's size, athleticism & calibre don't come around too often, that's why the kid is a shoe-in as a Top 3 pick, with the strong possibility of going number 1 overall. I am so glad this kid stayed in college for a couple of seasons, as his body as filled out a little, his game has come leaps and bounds, and he has the experience of winning a national title. Aldridge can play either the 4 or the 5, but is better suited to the PF position. He has a nice jump hook shot, as well as being a good set shooter to 15 feet, he is an improving rebounding and good shotblocker. As I said, guys of his size, athleticism & skill don't pop into your laps everyday, so one of the worst couple of teams will jump all over him, given the chance. If he falls out of the Top 3, there's something seriously wrong with the GM's picking.

Best Case Scenario - Chris Bosh
Worst Case Scenario - Channing Frye

Most Likely Scenario - Jermaine O'Neal

ANGELO CRAFT - SF/PF, 6'6", 220lbs, Texas, Sr (TOP 10 PICK)

Whilst Aldridge & Gibson were the stars of the Longhorns' team, senior forward Angelo Craft was its heart & soul. Craft came through time & time again in the NCAA Tournament as he lifted the No. 1 seeded team past the likes of Memphis & UConn in the Final Four to win the title. Craft is a solid shooter, good rebounder for his size & a good defender. He is your typical jack-of-all trades, master-of-none type player. He's not glitzy & he's not going to fill up Sportscenter highlights like some of the other guys in this draft class, but he will leave everything out on the court & will help your team win ballgames. It's the intangibles that really make up the basketball player that is Angelo Craft. He's more Battier than Melo, but I see a team in the mid-to-late lottery grabbing him, and reaping the rewards nightly.

Best Case Scenario - Josh Howard
Worst Case Scenario - Ruben Patterson (without the issues)

Most Likely Scenario - Shane Battier

CORY CAMARA - SF/PF, 6'8", 243lbs, Tenneesee-Chattanooga, Sr (LATE 1st RD PICK)

I'll move onto another senior, Cory Camara out of little Chattanooga. Here's a guy who has seen his stock rise from nowhere to now be considered a lock in the mid-to-late 1st Round. Unbelievable when you considering where this guy has come from. Not many people knew about Camara prior to the Chicago pre-draft camp, but the player, whose team was beatern by Davidson for the Southern Conference title & an NCAA berth, has been a beast, much like Jason Maxiell was a year before. Much like Maxiell, Camara is a defensive gem, but Camara has more of an offensive game than Maxiell. He is also a very good ballhandler, which is surprising considering he played in the post in college. I see shades of Anthony Mason in his game, where he will be able to handle the ball on the perimeter and back his defender down to the post. He possesses a unique array of skills, and someone is likely to grab him in the 2nd half of the 1st Round.

Best Case Scenario - Anthony Mason
Worst Case Scenario - Jason Maxiell

Most Likely Scenario - Marcus Fizer

SAMUEL ROBARDS - SG/PG, 6'5", 236lbs, Marshall, Jr (EARLY 2nd RD PICK)

You're probably thinking that I'm covering the wrong brother here, and that I should be talking about Garth Robards, Samuel's elder brother, and star bigman out of Illinois. Well, we'll get to him in good time, but I thought we'd look at a possible diamond in the rough. Samuel Robards has long been overshadowed by his older brother Garth, and spurned a scholarship offer & likely bench role from Illinois, to star for Marshall University. Samuel played as a forward in college but figures to fit as a SG in the NBA. The question is can the kid stick. Many think that he should have spent an extra year in college, but I think it's probably the right time for him to jump. He's got a huge NBA-ready body and knows how to use it. He's a pretty solid athlete & shoots the ball pretty well, although he can be streaky. Samuel Robards has some things that scouts love, but he really needs to work on his perimeter game, especially his ballhandling skills, if he wants to stick in the NBA for more than a couple of seasons. I like the kid though, and think he could stick. Someone will take a stab early in the 2nd Round, or a team like the Spurs or Pistons could see something special in him, and develop him as a late 1st Round selection.

Best Case Scenario - Kevin Martin meets Kirk Synder
Worst Case Scenario - Chris Carrawell

Most Likely Scenario - Kirk Synder (less athletic version)

That's all for today. I will update the other 3 US collegiate region in coming days.

yep, it's always hard to compare, but given his size, tools & potential, the ceiling is the limit....

is definitely a good idea, I'll try to think of some....I'm open to suggestions, provided that they're not too time consuming of course

COLLEGIATES STILL RULE THE DRAFT - PART TWO

By 'Tim Logler'
NLSC Insider

Updated: June 15, 2006, 6.28 PM ET --

Today I'm going to cover the Pacific Northwest, that is aside from one true superstar, is really lacking this season. Go to Gonzaga & you will find the next 'Great White Hope'.

ADAM MORRISON

Image

First off, Adam Morrison is not Larry Bird, as much as everyone wants him to be. Morrison is not the rebounder that Bird was, and he definitely isn't the passer that Bird was. But you can see the competitive fire that Bird has in Adam Morrison. Morrison is a very passionate player who is a great scorer from anywhere on the court. Regardless of who is on him, and how they play him, Morrison will find a way to get his. Morrison works hard and works smart, using screens, curls & push-offs to create space to launch his silky smooth shot. Whilst he isn't a great athlete, he's not a bad one, and puses his physical abilities to the brink. Morrison has turned into a cult hero in the Pacific Northwest & for White America as he brings back the old school stripes on his socks, the dodgey moustache & the Shaggy-esque hair. You might look at Adam & think he shouldn't be as effective as he is, but he is. He is what he is. At the moment, Adam Morrison is a lock Top 3 pick, with a strong possibility of going No. 1 overall. Who knows, if it wasn't for his diabetes (he has to take self-administered insulin shots during each game) then he might be a consensus No. 1 overall pick. Either way, someone will grab him early & he will become a fan favourite very quickly to whoever does.

Best Case Scenario - Reggie Miller meets Mike Miller
Worst Case Scenario - Glenn Robinson (post-prime)

Most Likely Scenario - Glenn Robinson (early years)

EMMET SMITH - PF/C, 6'9", 240lbs, Washington, Sr (LATE 1st RD PICK)

The name sounds familiar, doesn't it? Well it should, this Emmet Smith is none other than the nephew of Dallas Cowboys' running back great, Emmett Smith. Many actually expected Emmet Smith to choose football as his No. 1 sport, as he was a natural, much like his father. However, it was basketball that ran through Emmet's blood. This kid is a beast in the paint & can step in right away & not be physically intimidated by anyone outside of Shaq. He's got nice touch inside & is very mobile for a player of his size, and uses that mobility to go past slower defenders. Offensively he's nice, but he should really be a much better defender, especially with his size & instincts. He just isn't that great of a rebounder & does not get himself in good position. At the moment, his lack of defensive awareness is really hurting his stock. His NBA body, combined with his mobility & touch around the hoop suggests that he has lottery-type talent, but at the moment, no one is really looking at him as anything more than a late 1st Round pick. He has some work cut out for him, but if he's anything like his uncle was for the Cowboys, then watch out.

Best Case Scenario - Brian Grant (young version)
Worst Case Scenario - Samaki Walker

Most Likely Scenario - Malik Rose (taller version)

That's all for now, I will update the other couple of US collegiate region in coming days.

Some ideas:

- Guess picks in the draft
- Guessing team record for each month (Like in mark's old dynasty)
- Picking certain game results... (like maybe for the 'bigger' games with more significance?)
- Picking player awards...

Stuff like that ^^

where did u find aldridge CF?

cheers....I don't actually have Aldridge's CF at the moment....I went through the 125 generic faces that EA made this year & found the closest match....I'm guessing someone will make one for him in the coming month or so, so I can always import it then....all my draftees have faces except Aldridge, Carney & Redick (although someone made a face but didn't send it to me :x )

Sit wrote:Some ideas:

- Guess picks in the draft
- Guessing team record for each month (Like in mark's old dynasty)
- Picking certain game results... (like maybe for the 'bigger' games with more significance?)
- Picking player awards...

Stuff like that ^^

Great Idea :D

yep, it is a great idea....

1. Each month people try to pick my win-loss record, if they get it right it's like 1.0pts, within a game either side then 0.5pts, and if not then 0.0pts....considering the low number of games I play in a season, it shouldn't really be too hard I don't think....also a bonus 0.001 for each time a person makes a pick....gotta reward the loyalty after all

2. Picking monthly player awards....don't know exactly how I will do this, probably no deductions for being wrong, just a bonus 0.001 for making the picks each month & a 0.010 bonus if you get one right....so you could potentially add 0.041 to your score if you get them right, but then again, they're never easy....a bit of a lottery....

Will avoid the certain game results as too much additional effort on my behalf, & doesn't work in as easily with my monthly recaps like the first 2....

3. Guessing picks in the draft....probably will only give people a chance to pick the 14 lottery selections....0.001 for entering....0.010 for getting a player in right draft position, or 0.005 for getting a player within one draft slot of where he ends up being picked....if a player is 3 or 4 spots outside your prediction, you lose 0.005, and if they are 5 or more spots outside your prediction then you lose 0.010....I'll put a mock draft up before the real draft after the Draft Lottery results

4. Playoff picks remain the same....

Does that make sense, how about scoring?!? I haven't weighted it too much, have I?!?

anyways, cheers for comments guys
