v1.06 Official Support Thread

It's a little bit later than I first expected, but here is the post-trade deadline roster update (v1.06) for NBA Live 06. Download the patch here.

Key features of v1.06:
- 2005/2006 Rosters accurate as of 07/03/06
- Player ratings updated
- Primacy ratings adjusted for better shot distribution
- Player positions and data updated/corrected
- East & West All-Stars Lineups Updated
- Rookies & Sophomore Lineups Updated
- East & West All-Stars default jerseys corrected
- Default Dunk Contest participants Updated
- New Michael Jordan portrait by Cable Guy

No additional release notes this time. As usual I've tested the rosters throughly, an unchanged version of the roster shouldn't cause any crashes.

Quick question, is this the last update before the offseason or play-offs? I want to know so I can add in missing players' cyberfaces without having to worry about adding them again and I want this roster to be my "post deadline" roster save.

Probably not. There's a couple of key players currently inactive due to injuries so at the very least there'll be a couple of lineup update releases between now and the playoff update. There might be one or two during the playoffs then the offseason updates begin.

Thats fair enough and this one is the most closest to the actual deadline.

I can always un-lazy myself and just copy the playerpkg over from one dbf to another..

Hey Andrew, this is kind of a big thing for me and kind of a pain for me to update every patch. Can you possibly try to change around the 'range' rating for players that can hit a mid range shot as a big man (i.e. Darius Songaila, Malik Allen, Kurt Thomas, etc.). If you could, it would be appreciated.

Sure, if you could make a list of appropriate changes I'd be happy to fix them up along with Primacy in the updates.

It's a hidden attribute in players.dbf.

I'm not sure why that happens, everything in the dbf is correct.

Chicago:

C Malik Allen: 16 ft
C Othella Harrington: 15 ft
PF Tyson Chandler: 5 ft
PF Darius Songaila: 20 ft
PF Michael Sweetney: 16 ft

Denver:
Marcus Camby: 17 ft
Kenyon Martin: 19 ft

New York:
Channing Frye: 19 ft

Phoenix:
Kurt Thomas: 18 ft (didn't check FG rating yet, should be around 70-72 IMO)

Sacramento:
Kenny Thomas: 16 ft

Toronto:
Charlie Villanueva: 21 ft

Those are just the ones off the top of my head, use my ratings lightly, feel free to use what you think is right. Any more you guys post I will add to my list.

Same thing happens to me about Avery Johnson and my Live 06 is installed in default directory.

celtics gomes deserves a boost.

bulls duhon pg/sg. duhon never plays sg but the fact is skiles rotates duhon, gordon, and hinrich in the backourt. plus if you make duhon a pure pg, he will never be in the floor with hinrich. pargo/piatkowski rarely plays.

pacers bender retired.

spurs barry sg/sf. i'm pretty sure barry plays sf, last/current season.
