hit ctrl alt delete and go to ur processes tab and make sure you only have the bare minimum programs running. Also, if that doesnt work, do a virus scan, or just reinstall the game, or it may just be time for a reformat. Also, check to make sure your make sure ur video card display settings and game display settings are in synch.

Happened to me after a system restore. Update your drivers, and make sure that your video card's settings are up to speed.

this happens to me if i switch to desktop while playing a game... However, it runs smoothly when i'm shooting FTs

i used to have problems with programs when i'd alt tab and then go back into the game, i bought more ram and i've never had a problem since.

x-factor, that happened to me a few years ago. I just updated from a pentium 3 to a amd athlon and reinstalled windows, but kept nba live on another hard drive. It ran in slow motion, only fix was a reinstall.
