new playcalling question

Hi i am new to the forum, but not to the game. I had nba live 04 for pc and could always call plays by holding a button and then pressing another. Now in 2006 I can't do that. I press a button on the d pad and nothing happens. Is there something else you have to do, and do they name the play you called like they did before. Also my controller is a gravis eliminator aftershock

man u are realy corny

ok i doubletap and the two guards pop out of the post to the three point line. now does it tell me what play i run or should they do anything besides pop out cause any way i double tap it they just pop out everytime. I am sorry if i sound new but i always thought they named the play you ran

the name of the play should be located at the top of your screen whenever you call the play. if ever you call new plays like 11 22 33 44, or double tapping up, down, left right. press offball so that a circle will appear on the court showing you where to put your PG (i assume he's the one holding the ball when you call the play) and sometimes an arrow where he should run after he's gotten to the circle. if your PG didn't go to the circle, they play wouldn't be executed correctly.
