dunno how

Check out some of the other Dynasty Threads to see what kind of content you should provide for your readers. At the most basic level, recaps of the games, results, boxscores/stats and maybe a couple of screenshots. You might also want to do some mock feature articles, previews, etc.

The images needed to be on the web, on a site like photobucket or imageshack. You then need to put the URL (address) of the image between the IMG tags.

Code:
[img]http://www.website.com/yourimage.jpg[/img]

Like that.

Sites like photobucket and imageshack allow you to upload the images to their webspace free of charge. You can then link to them here in the Forum.

Sat Feb 04, 2006 12:18 pm

If I go on one of those websites they are askin' for ID and password...do I need to register or something and is it free?

and If I register where on the web do I do the uploading and stuff like that...if you could explain that to me somehow.....thx man I appreciate you doing this for me.

Sat Feb 04, 2006 12:21 pm

Yes, those sites offer free image hosting. You just need to register an account, then you can upload the files. I can't tell you the exact process myself as I don't use those sites (any images I need to upload I just place in my directory on the NLSC's webspace) but I'm guessing it's fairly straightforward, browse for the file you want to upload and clicking an upload button on the web page.

I registered and everything and I uploaded the pic that I wanted to try out and now the pic is on the web and what am I supposed to do now.....can you please tell me the process of the things that I will need to do to get that pic on the nba live dynasty stories......thx man :D

Take the url of the pic and put it between tags, like this:

Code:
[img]www.urlofthepic.com[/img]

Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:11 pm

how can I get those pic to be bigger? cuz you cant read anything when I posted it.

Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:15 pm

The NLSC automatically resizes pics to fit on the page, but if you click on them it will show them at the original size. What image hosting did you use?

Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:16 pm

what do you mean?

Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:17 pm

About what? The resize thing or the hosting site?

Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:21 pm

To keep the layout intact, we've got a modification installed in the forum that automatically resizes images over 600 pixels wide. To view those pictures in their full original size, you can click the image and it will open up in a new window.

Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:21 pm

well you said the NLSC does the resizing automatically and something about the hosting site

Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:27 pm

Regardless of where the file is hosted the forum will still resize the image.

Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:30 pm

ok man ill try that out and see what happens

Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:40 pm

lets say I put some pics tonight on the forum for the dynasty stories and tomorrow I play a game and want to put the stats off of the nba statistcs from the game can I do that or what can I do to continue working on that same topic so I dont have to post a new one....

Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:41 pm

Basically you just have to reply to your own thread by clicking Post Reply or using the Quick Reply function in the thread you've already created.

Sat Feb 04, 2006 1:50 pm

Or use the Edit button to edit an existing post. What I meant about hosting is that ImageShack give thumbnails of the pics, so you have to make sure you're using the url to the original pic, not the thumbnail

Sun Feb 05, 2006 6:22 am

If i want to put a pic from NBA Live and lets say the pic is the box score of a game that I played and I want to put the pic on the forum and I do everything like you told me to and then after I did that, the pic that I posted is small when you're looking at it on the forum ,but normally on my comp the pic is normal , you know what Im sayin.....need help ASAP!

thx

Sun Feb 05, 2006 9:28 am

As I said, the forum automatically resizes images that are wider than 600 pixels. To view the image in the full, original size, the image can be clicked and it will open up in a new window.

Sun Feb 05, 2006 10:10 am

I know you said that earlier but I tried posting the pic and when I did that the pic is small you cant read anything....I'll try again and see what happens
