Buzzer Beater Shot

Fri Feb 03, 2006 7:18 am

Has anyone ever made a last split second shot from inside your own half or somthing like that.. I have like twice...but its anoying becasue sometimes it wont let u view the replay

Fri Feb 03, 2006 7:32 am

yeah ive done it
ive shot alot of 3's on the buzzer to get the win/over time

Fri Feb 03, 2006 7:56 am

cpu made shot from half court in one game

..
but I didn't do it

Fri Feb 03, 2006 7:59 am

Nope. Never.

I can't view any replay with less than 2 seconds in any quarter. They should fix that in a patch. Allow us to view instant replays after timeouts/fouls and at quarter breaks/halftime/end of game.

The only way to record such a shot would be to use gamecam. It has cached video recording and you could turn that on in the last minute of each quarter, then dump the cached video to a file after a shot is made. Only problem with that is that those shots are rare and it would be more of a hassle to do that for the end of every quarter, also, it will hinder your framerate. :(

yup, i've made one. yeah, no replays. but i like the animation when you do a buzzer beater for the win. the one who takes the shot will go nuts. :D still no replays though..

ya theres been a couple fluke last second shots to win games, mostly for the cpu though, like philly was down by 2, with 3/4 seconds to go, no time outs left, so iguadola brings the ball up court and shoots from about 10 feet back from the three and sinks it, the cpu always makes open shots from far away before half and at the end of games

I think once.

I can easily win with a buzzer beater on superstar. I did it with Bosh, Mike James, Rose, and basically the starting lineup for the Raptors.

If you didn't know already, there's a bug that will count any shot after the buzzer, so instead of jacking a 3-pointer, run down the court as the camera zooms out and dunk it, it'll count

Fri Feb 03, 2006 11:57 am

yeah, it's so dumb

Fri Feb 03, 2006 11:58 am

When its tied or you winnin by one. The comp will have like 2.3 seconds left to shoot and will always make it. Its such a annoying bug cause it always goes in!

I got one in the other night, the game was tied and I did the outside scorer double handed runner with pierce and the shot went in after the buzzer. There was a little cut seen with pierce pumping his fist once but nothing very spectacular for a game winning shot. Tim Duncan has hit game winning three's against me at least 5 times, all contested, that really pisses me off.

Really? when i did a three pointer with barry for a win. he pumped his fist several times. I think he even almost knelt. 1st time I saw that animation. It's not the same animation when you block a shot or took charge.

This bug + player shorts from wrist  It's so unrealistic... The player must perform a great effort but he only shots like free throw FROM HIS OWN court...

Has anyone done 1 then had the camera close up on the player... looks really good.

You see when the ref tells us if its in or not it shud then show a replay

Sat Feb 04, 2006 8:21 am

Do it all the time. Hehe. I usually need about 2 seconds from an inbounds after a timeout (at halfcourt) or i need 5 seconds to blitz down the court and pull of a beater.

i posted this before, but i was down by four and it was a season game in an online league. I made a three with vince, and was down by one with just under 2 seconds left on the clock, and the other team had the ball. Vince steals the inbounds pass and makes a layup as the clock expires and i win the game.

My other one was a playoff game in a dynasty, single elimination series. I was down by two, and i get off a three with brevin knight as the clock expires and it goes in and it shows the animation of when a player makes a buzzer beater and the sideline goes nuts, it was pretty cool.

sweet man i had two more buzzer beaters today with Mike Miller against Denver...i was down by three with 5 seconds in regulation and he drilled it over Melo and the he drained from the exact same spot but with one second to send it in to 2nd overtime but i ended up losing on a Melo lay-up at the buzzer...wow what a game

Long long years ago in Live 98 (probably in 1998), I made a nearly 85 foot buzzer beater shot with center Paul Grant of Minnesota Timberwolves. WoW!

Thu Feb 23, 2006 7:15 am

wow

I hit a LBJ buzzer beater, it was cool. And a few VC ones

That reminds me of the first game I played when I got NBA Live 2001...

Created my player, played my first game on all-star. Down by 2 hit a 3 with myself to win. What a way to start a brand new game. Wow, I played that for 2 years.... :o
