hey Admiral

i think it might be easier for you apply the plastic wrap effect to the the files explained in my stickied thread :New fixed game lighting mod

you can extract the originals from the common.viv / cmntex.fsh.
as explained in my thread these files contain the lighting for skin and head textures. You can adjust these files the same way as the jersey files.

this will probably be the quickest way to add your sweaty effect to all players

This is only me messing around, I changed two files, the arms and legs in cmntex.fsh. I believe its a start. I tried it for the spec files for faces, but it didn't work. Also, the "sweat" shows through accessories.

Lol, true that. I would like some serious suggestions on this. I already know the hands and forearms have way too much of the effect applied, the shoulders and biceps look ok to me. Should the "sweat" be darker, thinner, more broad...

I will not do any face patches.

Did you watch the video? The video shows golden state players with the original jersey, the camera rotates around them showing how the effect changes with the angle of light.

Is there a way to soften how 'sweaty' they look, PDUB? I mean like I said, he looks like he just ran a marathon. If there was a way to intensify it a bit less, especially on the forearms, you'd be heading in the right direction.

Thats exactly right. It does need to be softened, and a little darker. I'm at work now, and I won't be home till ~9 pm pacific time. When I get home, I'll tweak and post a couple screens.

Oh and the video link is fixed.

sorry, I actually made the vid high quality so it would show the effect properly. the actual video is only 2-3 megabytes, it shouldn't take too long to download the whole thing.

I'm going to tweak it anyways, so it really doesn't matter.

PDUB, after watching the video, I'd severely soften the shine on the legs, too. The main area of shine is the shoulders and biceps, but you already know that. Just mentioning the legs, as well, need to be taken down a notch.
