Live 06 Assist Record

Tue Jan 31, 2006 11:05 am

I saw the NBA.com video game challenge, and decided to go the opposite route, so I put up 50 assists in 8-minute quarters with Kobe.

Image

Then I decided to have a go at my previous Live series high of 85 assists in a game. You know the drill, Superstar Rules, Default Rosters and Default Sliders...using Steve Nash. Unfortunately, I came up a tad short, finishing with only 74...and lost the game on top of it. :?

Anyway, I guess 74 might still be a record, but I won't be satisfied with anything less than 86 and a W.

EDIT: Just broke the 85 mark. By a good margin. Will post pics later.

Tue Jan 31, 2006 12:43 pm

lmao, the best i can do is like 31 and that was only on starter with rafer alston. the most assists i got in superstar was like 12 with mike james, with like 8 of them going to chris bosh.

Tue Jan 31, 2006 12:49 pm

thats nothin, i can get 60 with Jason Kidd

Tue Jan 31, 2006 12:58 pm

I can get like 70 or 80+ with Chris Paul.

Tue Jan 31, 2006 1:24 pm

No its a thing called a "personal computer" every ones got one! lol
No, I love it on the pc can download tons of shit its better.

80 assists? and these are the same people who want to play realistic bball

Tue Jan 31, 2006 2:08 pm

I believe EG just did this for a challenge and a bit of fun, not because he believes it's realistic or the way NBA Live should necessarily be played.

Quite an effort to get Kobe 50 assists with those teammates...well done. (Y)

Okay, I'm now satisfied. Having broken my previous record and got a big win on top of it.

Mavericks 214
Lakers 135

Player of the Game:

Jason Terry
2 points, 6 rebounds, 91 assists

Will post pics when they upload.

ur camera sucks too
It's a camera phone.

I could just say "why not?" But I'll answer. 1) Kobe's 81 has me in a record setting mood, especially because NBA.com is challenging video gamers to put up crazy statlines.

2) I like playing NBA Live. Last time I checked that's what this site is all about...

thats nothin, i can get 60 with Jason Kidd

You're more than welcome to have a go at 91. Default rosters, default sliders, Superstar difficulty, 12 minute quarters...

Tue Jan 31, 2006 2:37 pm

wow holy shit... 91 assists.... thats insane

if i did it i would need to have 2 power players at PF and C and just keep passing to them (Y)

Especially trying to hold the thing still up in the air and get a shot of a TV screen.

Boatload of steals too...which was the only way I was able to get over the hump and make it that high.

I know the font and the TV screen makes the photo blurry as hell...so here's another one. Note that Nowitzki scored 125 and was not Player of the Game.

Alright, I'm done. No more record chasing for me. It's exhausting.
