Just read this....

WWE has recently decided to change the name of “Five Questions with The Champ” to “Five Questions with John Cena.” Featured in the 12 minute segment of the show, Cena states that the show was named something simple because the fans were not creative enough.

Also in that very same segment, John Cena is asked who he thinks will go to the Superbowl. He then heels out NFL officials for poor calling last weekend. In the short version, they edited out him heeling the fans as well as edited out the NFL question.

Seems like they're going to tun Cena heel afterall.

It's a shame about McMahon's ego. If he was that upset that he couldn't control the audience reaction to Cena but wanted him to keep the belt he could have had Cena turn heel while holding the belt, a la Randy Savage back in the late 80s when he feuded with Hogan (the whole "Mega Powers" angle).

Just read some spoilers. There might some a few appearances of some NBA Players on the next Raw since they've filmed a segment in one of their games. I know they are but I'd rather not spoil it more for some people.

Edit:Just read the article again. It might not be on Raw but it's on their site WWE.com. I think the article was taken there so it's not really a spoiler anymore.

Since Daivari screwed him, I don't think Angle will be a heel now. That's what usually happens when someone gets screwed in 'rasslin', when the screwer is a heel, the screwey automatically turns good guy.

He's more of a tweener. He's somewhere in between so it depends on who he's working with. Although as he said so himself, even if the crowd chants "you suck" before the match, they always manage to cheer for him during and after the match.

well it said on wrestlingexposed.com that they might be planning an Angle-Undertaker feud, so i wonder if he'll turn heel again.

EDIT: There will be an Undertaker-angle feud as he appeared at the rumble.

results:
Gregory Helms wins the Cruiserweight Title
McKie James beat Ashely
Boogeyman owned JBL
Mysterio wins the rumble (entering number 2)
WWE Championship Match:
John Cena wins back his spinner belt using the STFU on Edge, making him tap
World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Kurt Angle def. Mark Henry with some roll up to retain

afterwards undertaker came out and did his lightning thingy. now i wonder who will be the face and heel in this once. i think most probably Angle will be the heel

Why on Earth did Mysterio win the Rumble? Does this mean he's the number one contender? That's how it used to be at least.

Yes he is. They've been building him up for the main event picture. I'm ok with small guys being pushed to the world title picture. My only problem is that Mysterio's been rather boring lately. All he's doing is running around the ring and hitting kicks instead of using his lucha skills. Plus the 619 sucks as a finisher.

edit: just read this

Major Spoilers For Royal Rumble/WMania; Winner Revealed?
Date Added: January 29, 2006
Story By: Tim Brown
PWInsider is reporting that rumors are going around backstage that Rey Mysterio will be winning the Royal Rumble. However, the plan seems to be to have Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton at WrestleMania. This could mean that Rey will lose his title shot before WrestleMania, or that one of the two plans have been changed.

Another match planned for WrestleMania is Undertaker vs. Mark Henry.

I dont have the slightest clue about anythingor anyone yall are talking about.

I havent watched any wrestling since the days Shawn (sp?) Michaels and Diesel were running things in WWF (not WWE). Occasionally my little cousin or something comes singing the praise of current wrestling but that goes in one ear and out the other.

I am such an old-timer. :(

I'd heard Mysterio was a favourite to win but given Vince tends to like to push the large and untalented, I figured that was nothing more than a rumour. Interesting to see if Cena getting the title back will kill the pop he was starting to get once he went back to being a challenger. As I said before, if Vince is so keen on Cena holding the title, he should swallow his pride, realise he can't control fan reaction all the time and have Cena turn heel while holding the strap (a la Randy Savage back in 1989).

it was actually a cruiserweight open. so technically Gregory Helms def. Kid Kash, Nunzio, Funaki, Jamie Noble and Paul London to win the Cruiserweight Championship

i guess this is how Mysterio loses his Wrestlemania shot:

(from Smackdown Tapings)
wrestlingexposed.com wrote:*Smackdown started with Teddy Long coming to the ring and saying that at The No Way Out PPV, The Undertaker will face Kurt Angle for the title. Teddy then calls out the winner of the Royal Rumble Rey Mysterio. Mysterio was talking about how Eddie Guerrero pulled a funny one on him for giving him the # 2 entry when Randy Orton comes out. Orton challenges him for the # 1 Contendership at No Way Out. Orton was rippig into Eddie, saying that Eddie didn't go to heaven and that he was in hell, which led to Rey and Orton brawling.

*Main Event: Kurt Angle and Rey Mysterio vs. Mark Henry and Randy Orton: Decent match, ended with Angle chasing Daivari through the crowd and Orton pinning Rey with a rollup. After the match Orton says he told Rey he could beat him and that his win at the Rumble was a fluke and Rey says in memory of Eddie he will put his shot at the title on the line at No Way Out against Orton.

You said it. All one needs to do is look at which wrestler in a feud gets the last word before a PPV. The other guy is going over at the event. I can't think of the last time that didn't happen, at least with a high profile feud and one where a wrestler isn't getting buried because he refuses to kiss McMahon's ass.

Orton was rippig into Eddie, saying that Eddie didn't go to heaven and that he was in hell, which led to Rey and Orton brawling.

Well, they were respectful about it for what, two months? I know "the show must go on" and we shouldn't be petty about it, but it's typical uninspired attempts at controversy, like the Kerwin White character. Trust Vinnie Mac to feel genuine sorrow for a tragic event only to realise he can use it in his product.
