Menu graphics haywire.

Sun Jan 15, 2006 10:41 am

System Specs:

OS: Windows XP
Processor: AMD Athlon Processor MMX, 850 MHz (dated, but I survive)
Memory: 256MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c

Video Card Info:
NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000
128MB memory
With the latest Forceware drivers installed.

Problem:

Menu graphics are quite choppy, rendering the text unreadable. Screenshot:

The game graphics work just fine, it's the menu and NBALogo/Team Logo screens that are choppy. Now, I've looked around here and a few other forums, and have mostly seen something to do with 'lighting' (which isn't available with this card, allegedly). Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

it's a driver issue. try older drivers or omega-drivers.

Heh, does this with NHL 2005 games too. Evil.

As for the drivers tip, I still haven't found good ones. But I'll keep on truckin'.

Thanks for the replies.

threatlockz, that looks a bit like horizontal tearing, doesn't it?

tearing on a still image is impossible :) it's just a bad graphics card.
