How do I back down? (Do not lock, trust me, special case!!!)

I have a Radioshack adapter to use my Playstation 2 Controller in my PC, and obviously you have a stickied thread that says to press down on the right analog (I know, not push it in like a button, just press down on it) However, this does not work. I modified the Wireless Dual Trigger setting in controller configuration, but it still will not work for me. I'm not an idiot, I just want to know if there's something else I need to adjust. All the other buttons work fine, as my adapter came with software and drivers to set up the buttons. So don't dismiss this as any other "how do i back down???" thread.

Anyone else have this same exact problem?

Can you do all the Freestyle moves with the right analog stick?

Yes, I can do all the freestyle moves, I can do offball as well, but no back down..
