Mon Jan 16, 2006 10:15 am

Until the release date I've deleted the list since nobody really wanted to use it anyways.

Mon Jan 16, 2006 10:55 am

So... new dunks or what?

Mon Jan 16, 2006 10:57 am

A) when i tried out your rosters and .viv, my game crashed.

B) Is there any way you can design a realistic set that we can use on our own rosters? Or that I can simply edit in my players.dbf each player's dunkpack #, so it matches???

Mon Jan 16, 2006 11:24 am

^^ That's what I'm thinking, it may be possible just to edit the Dunkpacks in our own rosters. If it's good enough Andrew may even use it, hopefully.

Sorry that your game crashed, I tried the rosters out that I released and they work perfect for me. For your second Question you can design a realistic set that can be used in your own Roster. Here are a list of the Dunkpacks

I fixed it so it doesn't crash. Is there a way you can post a tut of how to edit the aiact.viv? I'm interested in playing with it. Thanks.

i played with your new aiact.viv file
first it crashed in season mode with the legends roster...then i played with it again in "play now" and tried the season again and it worked fine...btw mostly all the players have purple shoes/feet..some sorta bug i guess
overall its a good idea but it just takes away too much of the good shots on the scorers and dunks on the highflyers...BUT..the alley-oops you have installed into there are very nice...is there anyway to keep just the alley-oop feature without the modified dunks and shots? good effort nevertheless

I love the alley-oops, put-backs, and dunkpacks. I still don't think anyone has done real justice for the FSS moves, though...

Outside Scorers shouldn't have any dunks as FSS abilities. Especially with their custom dunkpacks. Reason being, players like AI doesn't do the dunks. Outside Scorers should have the turnaround jumpers, fadeaways, (I like the shot where they hold their hand up and hop at the end), and flashy layups. That's it. No more, no less.

Inside Scorers should have hookshots, NO awkward runner, and the bank shot that Shooters have normally by using the FSS Trigger and the Block button. That'd be perfect for spot up 15-18 footers that those players usually take. I see no reason for them to have the quick release shot that Shooters normally have. They should also have some simple two handed and one handed dunks, just so you have the option of dunking instead of doing a layup. Nothing powerful or flashy. Again, that's for their normal dunkpack.

Shooters and Playmakers should remain default.

Highflyers should have the flashiest layups and some real nice dunks. Not the craziest ones that are in like the Vince Carter dunkpack, reason being, Vince or whomever may be the only player who can actually do that dunk, while other guys who have the FSS Highflyer ability can't. So, just give them some of the nicer, but not crazy dunks, and the flashiest layups.

bump - what program do you use to edit the .act files???

Mon Jan 16, 2006 2:30 pm

did you use any shoe patches?

Mon Jan 16, 2006 2:33 pm

i havent tried this and i wont have time to try it in a while
....soo what do u think, this one or default is better overall?

yes I have Shoe Patch 5.0 in my game thats why peoples shoes are messed up.

Mon Jan 16, 2006 3:17 pm

lilvc22, would you be willing to work with me towards making an even more accurate aiact.viv than you've made now?? The only real issue is FSS moves.

Mon Jan 16, 2006 3:27 pm

I used your rosters and i found out that T-mac's Body is big like Shaquille O'neal.

Mon Jan 16, 2006 3:46 pm

The aiact.viv is pretty good...the alley hoops and put back dunks are on point (Y) But I don't want to use your rosters to be able to utilize the aiact.viv file (N) Your rosters are inaccurate, shoes are all wrong, and cause the game to crash. Fix it so that we don't have to use your rosters but still use the dunkpacks etc. Fine tune it and re-release (Y)

The only thing I think needs changing is the FSS abilities, as far as the aiact.viv goes. The putbacks, alley-oops are perfect, as are the custom dunkpacks for the most part. I just wish someone would try and work with me for FSS abilities. I really think the community would like it. :?

i agree, i m with u

Hey everybody to be honest with yall. I wasn't making the aiact update to be released I was actually making it for my own game and fun but since everyone is SO Damn into it I guess I can work with bigh0rt to make a better one.

Mon Jan 16, 2006 5:38 pm

Yeah, work with him, he's got some good ideas. I tried the aiact with the real life rosters, went into practice with Dwayne Wade, great putbacks, one regular layup was a switch hand layup(too flashy) and the FSS +dunk move could only be performed VERY close to the basket, any farther away produced the quick floater. Then I exited practice, game crashed, and I couldn't change my desktop resolution back to the original without restarting. I logged off without restarting and then I was able to change my resolution back.

If your not up to creating an aiact for others then could you at least post knowledge about the act file(s) you edit so others can try to make their own FSS combinations and dunkpacks? I'm sure we would all appreciate it.
