is there any way to tweak the default sliders so that they take effect during ip to ip play?

also...anyway to customize your playbook and take it into ip to ip online games?

I find that playmaker's sliders to be the most realistic sliders so far.

here they are

Playmakers wrote:I edited this just a bit. An asteric (*) was placed besides the latest slider changes. 11-09-05

These will be sliders mostly touched upon from what EA had listed at it's DEFAULT SIM settings when we first purchased the game. I lowered in my opinion only the sliders that enhanced an arcade type feel right out the box. There are certain sliders that I felt didn't need lowered to much because I still wanted to keep that fun factor involved in the game. Free-Style control use by the CPU is the major slider. I my opinion the human player abuses that aspect more than the CPU so I decided to go back up close to DEFAULT for the CPU because when set low it took away from certain players like Nash, LBJ, Kobe and Shaq's unique skill's.

I also went back to DEFAULT GAMESPEED because the more I observed after a month since it's release is that EA actually have solid gameplay speed at DEFAULT. This game is really not as face a pace as it was in years past. Compared to other games it might seem fast but Live captures actual NBA speed better this year in my opinion. In fact I could even argue that at DEFAULT it's still rather slow if you actually watch or attend an NBA game. I think initially I was lowering Gamespeed to keep scores down but there are certain sliders you can lower to assist with this aspect.

I would also highly suggest using Playbooks aswell because it brings out better realism in the game when teams focus on there top players and move the ball.

Level: All-Star/Press Box View -2 clicks from DEFAULT Camera/Human Shot Control ON

Minutes: 10 or 8

* 3 Second's in Paint Turn OFF

Game Speed: 50 or 45
Free Throw Difficulty: 100 or 75 (CPU misses more FT's at 100)
Boundary Force Field: 75
Injury Frequency: 50
Fatigue Effect: 50
Charge/Block Foul Frequency: 75
Shooting Foul Frequency: 25
Reach-in Foul Frequency: 50
In-air Collision Foul Frequency: 75 or 100 (100 gets you NBA avg for FT's)

I've had some very exciting games with Playmakers sliders. I have to use my bench because the post play if you try to block everything will get you in foul trouble. I don't know if his sliders are the best but they sure play pretty good when you use the Playbooks he worked on. He did a great job balancing the playbooks and teams with his sliders. Star players like Kobe and Wade will definetly attack the rim with his playbooks and they draw fouls as realistic as any NBA Live game I've played before this year. That's where Playmakers sliders really make you feel like the Star players are a tough matchup and seperates them from scrubs.

4 real, playmakers has made this game crazy realistic in terms of gameplay, i definitely see how the superstars handle their business, u take away dat almost unstoppable reverse layup and some rebounding issues, its a great game

The slider that I've used in my dynasty and stats to support them.

All games played with 12 minute quarters, no overtimes among these. I keep it real, won't always go straight to towards to the rim, take shots from the mid-range, play 20-24 seconds at the offensive end. I also suggest you to use the plays from the Playmakers thread.

Image

| WAS @ MIN | WAS vs CLE |
| WAS @ LAL | WAS vs LAC |
| WAS @ CHI | WAS @ PHI |
| WAS @ CHA | WAS vs DEN |

Clearly I average 8+ ppg compared to the CPU, mainly due to more freethrows. That's just me, I just can't or don't want to foul.

Another thing causing thit is that in of those games I led by 5-9 points before the last minute of play, stupid CPU kept fouling me and i got 6-10 FTAs just the last minute of the game and I have grewn my lead thanks to those aswell.

The TOs are up due to EA's fuckup - the deflected passes going out of bounds counting as a TO.

And don't let the Ws deceive you, my record is about 60%. I like it, some of you hardcore fans might want to turn the USER sliders down to make it harder.

And finally, the sliders themselves.

Ciao Boste!
Secondo te quali sliders sono meglio? Quelli di Batman, Playmakers o Heiks?
Dimmi qualcosa perchè nella dynasty faccio troppi punti come 130 140 punti a partita giocando 12 minuti a quarto. Grazie Ciao

Translation: Hi Boste!
What ar the best sliders for you? That are of Batman, The Playmakers or Heiks?
Tell me something because in my dynasty mode my score is so high like 130 140 ppg, playing 12 quarter. Thanx Bye bye

didn't tried heiks silders yet
the better gameplay for me is with playmakers' sliders, but try to slow down game speed to something like 25-30. Also, you may increase cpu's defense a little so it's harder to score, and cpu's interception so you have less shots. Just a suggestion

I don't see why much should change. Just make sure you input the Playbooks. The benches might not play much with 5 minute qtr's but it shouldn't effect the sliders overall.

Good luck and hopefully they'll be solid sliders for you.

What do you mean by realistic? Do you want to get 90-100ppg, 40-45rpg and etc. like in a real 48 minute game, or do you want realistic stats per 12 minutes?

sliders on high speed with high quality of game

Postby murray22 on Thu Jan 12, 2006 12:52 am

game speed e.g. 84
fouls have to be near to 0
steals, blocks - 100
dunking ability - 65
shooting - between 50 and 65
phy. defense - 40 , cpu 30
fakeout - 60 , cpu 35

imagine, settings for everybody cannot be.
this is for users who play single player and like little fast game with some action.

ciao

i found that the computer was missing basically nothing from inclose. considering layup is at 70 and short range 42.. they scored 72 points in the paint. they werent missing anything, and considering they got 22 offensive boards. it was pretty ridiculous. i got about 15, which is still way too much considering i was the nets. i got 5 in a row at one time. the comp got 3 in a row once.. i was suprised they missed 3 times lol. you should really overhaul your sliders. its close to being a good set of sliders.
