Statistics to Ratings calculating method

Does anybody know any calculating method of converting real-life stats to NBA Live ratings (like they do in the NCAA Live for example)?

That could be unbelievable good for my new roster patch .

Have you emailed Jerry or anyone else on the NCAA Live team about it? They might be kind enough to let you in on their secret.

The only formula I use with the NLSC rosters is FT%=FT Rating. Of course any player who shoots below 50% simply has a rating of 50, since that's the lowest rating and by then, you've made the player a pretty poor free throw shooter anyway.

I've already e-mailed UK_Fan from the NCAA Live team (the creator of the roster ) about it, but he hasn't replied to me yet (i think he's on holiday or something like that).

I've also contacted Zaxis about it, but i didn't understand his system.

So i hope somebody else from this forum maybe, might be able to help me!

I just want to have as correct stats as possible! And i know someone created a "Stat to Rating"-program for Live 2000 .

Hmmm.... i don't know, because i don't have either Live 2000 or the ToolKit for it, so...
And i also think i read that the toolkit only works with Access 97. I only have Access 2000!

But still, if anyone knows where to get it, i'd appreciate it!

Hmm. Any NBA player doesn't get between 50 and 70 steals per minute in a game!

For steals, I assume it basically means the range is recalculated to 50-70. In other words, the players who get a lot of steals would have a rating of 70, while players who rarely make steals would have a rating of 50. Everyone else is in between 50 and 70, depending on their statistics.

The second bit is pretty much the same. Zaxis has changed the maximum and minimum ratings for those attributes. In other words, no player has lower than 60 for Passing, while no player has more than 80 for Inside Scoring. The best dunkers now have a maximum Dunk rating of 90, and no player has a higher Quickness rating than 95.

But how do i calculate which players has 60 in a rating, and who has 70 for example?

You'd have to ask Zaxis the specifics, but I assume you would find out who has the highest steals per minute, and call that 70. Find out who has the lowest, and call that 50. Anything in between is in between 50 and 70.

I don't think Zaxis made a thread dedicated to his roster update. You'll just have to email him with any queries you may have.
