There's no button that makes the crowd cheer.

You can raise your arms up and down to cheer up the crowd. You can do this by tapping the analog stick up and down repeatedly.

awww the crowds my favourite part of the game
i usually alwyas play lakers (sometimes sixers) for jus quick games and when kobe or A.I get hot and start scoring basket after basket (usually during crunch time) my crowd at least goes mental and chants "KOBE" or "IVERSON".
my theory is that the superstars have some mad file thats where i stop i dont know the techno shit...

go to set the crowd noise level to half, then when you want them to cheer, go back into the menu and set the noise level higher.

the crowd is a group of people watching the game that you are playing. when they yell stuff, it sort of jumbles together to become cheering.

no it's not just in the 4th quater but is probably more likely because it's near the end of the game and when your up by alot of points your likely to win. when i play with the rockets they sometimes shout Yao

they don't even have to be on a hot streak, sometimes if a guy does a superstar dunk, or makes a 3, the screen kinda moves sower and the guy flexes his muscles or swings his arms in the air to get the crowd pumped. they they chant his name sometimes.
