Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

Poor Release Shot is on 50!
Tue Dec 27, 2005 9:06 am
I do this:
Play an exhibition game on the desired difficulty and with equal overall teams.
If you win then increase the comps sliders by the amount you won by plus 1 and decrease yours.
If you lose then increase your sliders by the amount you lost by plus 1 and decrease the comps.
It could be flawed but its quick and easy.
Tue Dec 27, 2005 10:06 am
That's interesting but completely pointless. I've won stronger and lost to weaker teams with the same sliders. Like in real life, anything can happen.
The best thing to do is to play a series of games and calculate the averages of different stats and then compare tham to the NBA teams' averages and edit the sliders based on the difference.
It may take time, but it's not that difficult and it's way more precise.

Does Anybody Agree With Me When I Say You And The Cpu Shoot The
Ball Better And More Realistic With
Poor Release At 0 And With
Short,
Mid
And
Long Set From
30 To
35?

Pretty much yes. I keep Shootings within that margin too, just the Poor Release @ 15.
Works great.

Hey Guys,
I am playing (CPU VS CPU ) sim 12 mins quarters and getting good results. My scores are a tad to high. Question
My Physical on Ball defense is about 75, will raising it make the computer play better defense hence lower my score?

Does Anybody Agree With Me When I Say The Game Runs Better
And More Smoothly With
Boundary Force Field Equal To
Game
Speed?
For Example, I Play At 70 Game Speed And Before I Decided To Use The
Boundary Force Field I Kept It At 0. As A Result I Noticed That
When I Jump For Rebounds I Would Constantly Find My Player Or The
CPU Going Out Of Bounds With
The Rebound In Their Hands.
After I Fixed It
^ That Problem Stopped Happening And A Few Other
Things I Disliked Stop Happening And Occuring So Much :
1.

Getting Pushed Behind The Backboard On Lay-Ups (Turnover).
2.

Stepping Out Of Bounds On Corner 3-Point Line Before I Even Made A Move.
3.

That
Skating Effect Wasn't A Problem Even At A Game Speed Of
70.

I'm Also Experimenting At Other Game Speeds And Defense Settings And
I Will Post More Results Later.
Disregard Any Sliders Settings I Posted (Unless You Feel Comfortable Playing With Them) becuase I Am Making Some Based On Your Suggestions And Posts.

I think we should limit smilies to about max of 5 per post. Anyone with me?
Wed Dec 28, 2005 12:45 pm
No, that's stupid. Limit 1
Wed Dec 28, 2005 6:45 pm
Bee Gee these are horrible. I crushed the CPU because i shot 70% from the field. 50 is way too high for shooting sliders. I tried yours for one half and i was like 60% from 3 point range.
My shooting cpu human
short 33 33
med 35 36
long 36 40
layup 5 0
also, game speed is OK but you will never get realistic stats. and why do you think that a higher game speed would only help the cpu on fast breaks. it is all relative. the higher the speed the faster all players are going to be. so, even now the cpu get fast breaks and i use speed of 17. 12 minute quarters. even now the cpu has too many shots.
Wed Dec 28, 2005 8:42 pm
Thank you for your help, but I simply get too less rebounds

hi Andrew good day.im just new here.and i really appreciate your work.just wanna asked if you have created sliders for nba live 2006.if you have can i have it.hehehe.and question also.are you being for what you do?hehehe.thanks.hope to hear from you
Thu Dec 29, 2005 12:03 pm
nsic, welcome to the Forums. I'll answer on Andrew's behalf, since he's not around right now. No, he hasn't made 06 Sliders yet, because he hasn't found a set that he likes enough to release, yet. Not sure about your "are you being for what you do"? I think the word "paid" is missing in there, in which case, I don't think he is, but he should be.

Not yet, at least not ones I'm happy to release yet. And no, I'm not paid to run the NLSC, make rosters or develop sliders. Mad as it may seem, I actually prefer it that way.

batman, you've got nice sliders. i like the way you tweaked the med range, and long range to 23. it makes jumpshooting and 3 pointing a little bit difficult. i've altered some attributes however.. since i don't play at 12 mins per quarter.. i've set the speed to 80 (yeah i like playing fast!), 6 min quarters. user drop step and pro hop: 0, off reb: 0... and, i do the subs by myself

so sub freq: 0. still, nice work dude.

I fink i need to agree wit u cuz u got the point, THE MED RANGE AND LONG RANGE IS ONLY 23, which is very good, all other sliders make scoring easy, but this time, fink is gonna be a lot harder for both user n cpu, although i will probably change the cpu one to around 26 cuz i wanna more challenge, agreee?
