I'm having trouble running the game without it freezing at some point. After it freezes, it goes into a black screen and my monitor light starts blinking as if it's going through a monitor power saving feature or sleep mode. This never happens with any of my other games.
I'm running:
AMD Athlon64 3000+
1 GB RAM
80 GB hard drive
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
I have the latest drivers for my card, and DirectX 9.0c.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i think the video card is overheating. try placing an electricfan by the cpu(so that the video card will not easily overheat) while playing the game..
this works for me. the game almost never hangs.

I don't think the problem is overheating, as I have a Radeon 9800 PRO 128mb and the monitor turns black and I get the message "entering power saving mode" or something close to that. The weird thing is it
ONLY happens when I play either Individual Practice or 1 on 1 game modes. It has
NEVER happened in Dynasty or Quick Game mode. I really don't know why...

Mod your 9800 pro's to a 9800 xt. It's simple. To find out how search the forums on guru3d.com.

Try to update yo video driver. I had the same problem and Catalyst 5.5 for Radeon fixed this bug.

AMD XP3000+, 512MB RAM and Radeon 9550 here. I'm having the same problem that cyanide described in the first post. The graphics card doesn't feel like it is overheating at all. I tried upgrading to the latest Omega drivers (2.6.87) but I still have this problem...
Sometimes when I try to start the game, it says "please insert CD ROM" when it is already in. I wonder if there is any link.

it seems that alot of the lower Radeon's have trouble running this game... finding a working driver is the only thing that can help, unless you spend money on a new card
