i didn't want to make a new thread so i though i will add to my old one
i found this info on wikipedia after finding that a GeForce 6600 LE is cheaper than a GeForce 6600
GeForce 6600 LE (NV43v)

* Core Clock: 300 MHz
* Memory Clock: 500 MHz
* Pixel Pipelines: 4
* Number of ROPs: 4
* Vertex Processors: 3
* Memory: 128 MB/256 MB DDR1 memory on a 128-bit interface

GeForce 6600

* Core Clock: 300 MHz
* Memory Clock: 500 Mhz / 550 MHz (depends on manufacturer)
* Pixel Pipelines: 8
* Number of ROPs: 4
* Vertex Processors: 3
* Memory: 128 MB/256 MB GDDR1 memory on a 128-bit interface
* MSRP, (RRP): $150 USD

the only difference i see is the amount of pixel pipelines are more in GeForce 6600. what are pixel pipelines and do they really matter :?:

what are pixel pipelines and do they really matter

A pipeline that processes the pixles in an image. The more there are the more pixles a video card can process. This is all about pixel pushing power. A card with 8 pipelines can process twice as many pixels as a card of the same core speed and 4 pipelines.

If I were made to choose between a Radeon 9800 Pro and a GeForce 6600LE, I'd choose the former. But if made to choose between a 9800 Pro and a 6600GT, I'd choose the latter.
