You know that episode of Family Guy where Meg is at the mall and two different people see how ugly she is, douse themselves with gasoline, light themselves on fire, and then jump out of a window? Yeah, you just did that to four people with that sig. Try to wash the blood of your hands.

Heres one I made.

It's pretty cool, good colors, good type choice (for the background), nice composition, but I don't see how the cityscape relates to Carmello Anthony :|

Mon Dec 12, 2005 11:08 am

Wow  . IMO, that's the BEST sig you ever made! But just fix the text a bit

Mon Dec 12, 2005 11:18 am

Thanks a lot guys, this is what I need to get some confidence back.

Mon Dec 12, 2005 12:34 pm

Hey chezzy62! I really am liking this sig...

Image

Is it possible that you could convert it to a liveGMC headshot? Please check out:

I'd put it in the chezzy62 signature line

Mon Dec 12, 2005 1:02 pm

Yes, sure .

Mon Dec 12, 2005 1:05 pm

Awesome! I'm soooooooo looking forward to that...I suck really bad at visual creativity. (I try to contribute to the community in other ways...) Looking forward to the new rendition and I'll see you on my thread!

Mon Dec 12, 2005 5:35 pm

It's probably your best. Some yellow in the background somewhere would do great things though.

Guys, I am working on this JR Sig, I have been trying to make some text for like 40 minutes! I am soooo stuck with the text, any suggestions?

Wed Dec 14, 2005 1:12 pm

Damn, that's nice.

Wed Dec 14, 2005 1:17 pm

Thanks man, your Michael Vick sig is pretty good compared to your other stuff, keep up the good work .

Anyways you see how incomplete that sig looks? I mean if I had some bad text I would kill it, and if I would have good text it would be so much better, and I am sick of killing sigs with my horrible text.

Wed Dec 14, 2005 1:20 pm

My first thought was to use the font from the NO logo, but I don't know if that would work.

Wed Dec 14, 2005 5:39 pm

Looks pretty good for a WIP, just ditch the logo and put some more turquoise and yellow in there, the white is not looking great.

Thu Dec 15, 2005 9:47 am

You can just crop out most of the left side and leave it w/o text and it will be fine.

Agree with CK on more turquoise and yellow. Throw a colour balance layer on there with the highlights set to yellows, the midtones slightly to yellow, and the shadows to cyans. With variation of course depending on what looks best.

Thu Dec 15, 2005 10:05 am

Go with a sans serif font, it should look great (y)

Thu Dec 15, 2005 11:08 am

Ok guys, here is what version 2 will be, some Color Balance Layers like Colin said, and a Sans Serif Font, then I will see how it turns out and see if I could make any more changes Eg. Remove the Logo.

But for now heres 2 recent cuts I made, using Colins method.

Click both to download in PSD format if anyone cares .

Thu Dec 15, 2005 11:11 am

I'm not trying to be discouraging or anything, but your cuts are feathered too much, they have an outline on them. Look at Colin's, he feathered a lot less then you did.

Image

Thu Dec 15, 2005 11:14 am

Yeah, they're still feathered too much. That definitely doesn't look like my method. Did you remember to re-size the image before you cut and feathered?

Thu Dec 15, 2005 12:44 pm

Heres exactly what I did to David Wesley:

Resize the Image to Double Size, do all my pen tool stuff, right click-make selection-1 pixel.

Then I make a new canvas and I pasted it, and Ctrl-Click the layer, and press select-modify-contract-1 pixel.

And thats what I got, for the Felton, I did the same thing, only I just pated it to the canvas and saved it.
