That's not actually what I meant, but now that you mention it

Just checked and found out the Lakers won 2 games in a row now.. good stuff!

Wed Dec 07, 2005 8:09 pm

That's how they'll win games, with Kobe taking around 25 shots per game max with players like Odom and Smush getting around 15 or more themselves. Obviously the success hinges on those guys making their shots - needless to say any strategy in basketball requires players performing well to be successful - but if they're getting the ball at the right times and Kobe's shot selection is wise, they're going to be successful more often than not.

Sometimes Kobe will take more shots and will need to do so. That's the thing about great players that Kobe's still learning. They can dominate as individuals and be successful but they know how to pick and choose their spots. It's a common trait that can be associated with pretty much any great player you want to name. They knew when to step back and when to do their thing. Kobe still has a habit of refusing to step back or share, but I think that will come.

kwame really sux!!! even without the injury... I hope he develops like another high school kid did, namely jermaine o'neal.

He has the athletic ability and the size, but I think he really lacks mental toughness... I could still remember reading stories about MJ scolding the hell out of brown during practice, that would send brown weeping into the locker room!

Other than touches on the ball, kobe should be leading the LA team, and imparting some of that bravado to brown and odom...

He wont. Trust me...I followed him during his Wizards years. He's a flop.

As for the Lakers I'm amazed they are actually over .500! It's a pity the team won't go anywhere without another superstar (and no Laker fan , Lamar Odom will never be anything that Shaquille O'Neal was). Once Kobe Bryant has someone else with him averaging 25+ ppg then that's when I see the Lakers as a force again.

Tue Dec 13, 2005 8:00 am

anyone wwatch the lakers lately?.. i think that Kobe and Lamar are really focused on gettin this team to the playoffs...they were on a 4-game winning streak untill they faced Minnesota.... anyways.. against toronto...it only took kobe 11 ponts to beat them... but i kobe's assists have gone up lately, meaning he's finding people open and they're actually finishing.

Yeah, Lamar is finally getting comfortable with his role as initiator. He finally knows his spots in the triangle therefore Kobe is passing the ball because he is in the right spot.

But of course, Kobe is the devil, he's a ballhog a rapist and he'll never win a championship.

Kobe was amazing yesterday!

i still like to see Odom score more. He's finally getting some rebounds, and doing great assisting as well.

I think he meant as compared to previous years. It's us damn Canadians, remember? ;)

Wed Dec 14, 2005 10:33 am

lol you canadiens and your number system

odom last year averaged 10.2 rpg playing for the la lakers
the year before that: 9.7

Hey Laker fans, what do you guys think about Lamar Odom for Ron Artest. Apparently, the Lakers have offered it.

Wed Dec 14, 2005 11:08 am

really?...that was offered?...outside of that i dont think the lakers have enough talent to be able to trade... i think if any dela goes down with artest and the lakers, it'll be a 3 team trade.

Naw, It'll probably be Artest for Odom plus fillers to make the contract work, I'd like to do it. Odom and JO would compliment each other very nicely.

Wed Dec 14, 2005 11:43 am

Artest & Kobe together...GREAT! :P

I think you should STFU

Anyway, Lamar for Artest is pipe(for indiana). PJ is inlove with Lamar, Lamar is the lakers initiator, the team would regress without him.

Besides, Phil rarely(see:never) makes midseason trades.

Wed Dec 14, 2005 12:19 pm

I hate Odom for Artest. Hate hate hate.

Wed Dec 14, 2005 12:31 pm

Ditto. (Y)
