Does anyone know to make computer simulated teams that SHOULD do well, do well in season play? All the big guns out West (save Sacramento) didn't even get into the playoffs.

Are you using a tweaked roster?

Yeah, Andrew, I'm using DK's tweaked roster, with a few minor alterations myself. (+5 FG's, +15 INSIDESC)

The problem lies in the roster. The overall ratings/rankings of the teams, as well as players, are affected. Hence, some teams that should make the playoffs have poor seasons instead.
Tweaked rosters unfortunately are not optimised for Franchise play.

There was a post ages ago which fixes this,, you have to edit the homecourt advantage for each team.

I've had mixed results with this. I did update the HOMEADV in a recent version of the current roster update, but the fact remains that tweaked rosters aren't really suitable for Franchise Mode.

my advice is never change the homecourt advantage,
unless you want the same teams to keep doing well over 10, 20 years.

Im using a tweaked roster and the team ranking really stinks

.
Toronto and Chicago is like 5 and 8 and Boston is like 24 or something
