Announcers using names of retired players in game.

Tue Oct 25, 2005 11:48 am

Am I hearing things? Listen to this:

I was playing a direct IP game online with a friend yesterday. The two teams we used were the Knicks and Magic. During the game, whenver the announcers would name a player on the court, they'd say names of players who aren't on these teams, or have been retired for several years. Names included:

Retired
- Grant Long
- John Starks
- Shawn Respert

Still Playing
- Darrell Armstrong
- David Wesley
- Milt Palacio

Has this happened to anyone else? It was very strange given some of these players aren't even in Live 06.

Yes that has happend to me but if you think about it this can be good because
that means there is a sound file for those players wich ppl can make and put in the 90's team. Because i was playing and it was calling one of the players Hakeem Olajuwon.

Yeah i tried finding a thread first but had no luck. That's what I expected (that EA was using an old audio system). I feel like the PC version gets the shaft when it comes to glitches like this.
