If your not happy with it, simply try another slider set. Last year I went through about 10 before I found the right one!jesusfrancosiles wrote:nicosantos76 wrote:Have you already tried editing the players.dbf. I've reduced the OffRebAbil by 30 for each player and the off reb problem now is gone.
Yeah.. i've do it. The problem was solved, but then i thought about the Dynasty Mode and the new rookies to come.. they will have an off. rebound ability, much much better than the rest!
I know i can edit their ability too, but editing a lot of players every season.. seems too much for me.
Anyway, i tried what JeremyK said about taking a good position for the rebounds... and it worked a bit hehehe.. the off. rebound were around 10-12, not the 20-25 i usually see.
But it still makes me angry that in several games (nearly 1 out of 3) some stats become crazy. I.E. yesterday i played a game in which Toronto shoot 20 free throws and i didn't shoot!!! And the next one.. becomes normal.. I don't know if it is 'cause my way to play the game.. but i'm close to say that 2005 was better than 06... well... patience is a virtue..

OK, I have been working very hard on these sliders, and I think these are really good. I would seriously recommend giving them a try at least. The gameplay is good, and so are the statistics produced. The better team has a better chance of getting the victory. You have to play to your teams strengths.

NOTES: As with version 1, credit must go to brad feet, as his slider set was used as the original template. The foul out works at 5; otherwise don't expect to see much foul trouble. Believe me, I have taken off the 3 seconds in the key rule for a reason; the computer can be very stupid at times. You won't even notice it's off, unless you maybe have Shaq and give it him a lot. Maybe turn the rule back on then. As with all slider sets, you can't do much about offensive rebounding. And thats it, give them a try.

This one is pretty good, but i keep losing. i guess i have to practice with these sliders for now. Great job
I tired.. really tired of this game.. i'm very very close to play 05 instead of 06. I have played right now just the first quarter of a lakers-blazers and, with the same sliders than yesterday worked quite well, today in just 4 minutes of play the result was LAL: 20 - POR: 6 with a 85% FG for LAL and a 12% for POR. Kobe 100% in FG with 16 points, and i won't talk about off. rebound because we all know what happens...
hey
im having problems with offensive rebounds too and i definately would not go to the extent of editing ratings since i want to play a dynasty, without too much hassle i might add. right now, the computer gets about 19 offensive boards per game (10minutes quaters, superstar, off rbd sliders at 0 and def rbd at 100)
that is still bearable..however what im miffed at is that, shots in the paint layups or normal shots are unstoppable. whether i get a hand in their face or they just push my player away. what makes it worse is that this occurs often right after the CPU grabs an offensive board.
is there anyway without editing ratings to solve this problem?

I scanned this thread and tried a few sliders and these are really good. I really like how both teams get an even amount of fouls and the flow of the game is almost perfect. My only gripe is 3-PT shooting I was missing alot of open shots (4/18) but increasing the slider should solve it for me. Overall I really enjoy these they feel realistic.
