hell no!!!!
There was another guy who thought Camby should be an inside scorer or power player just because he played witht he Nuggets . LOL.
I don't think there should be freestyle superstar edits on that many players. Just a couple in my opinion. Ricky davis should be a scorer. I'm not sure, but i think he's just a highflyer.

I honestly think so. He's an underrated shooter and he was one of the most underappreciated players last year. Go ahead and edit you rosters bro.. enjoy the game.

I've given superstar properties to some other players actually.
1)Eddy Curry = Power. His dunk rating is 84 and all he needed was 1 dunk point to be considered a power player.
2)Josh Howard = One of the best perimeter defenders. He had over a hundred steals last year and clearly deserves to be a stopper.
3)Doug Christie = 1 time all defensive team and 2 time all defensive 2nd team.. totally overlooked by EA.
4)Wally Sczerbiak = 79 fg and 77 pt? Wouldn't mind adding a few points to make it 80 and 80 so cyber Wally could stroke it like he does in real life.
5)Darius Miles = His speed rating is 83. Add 2 to that and you've got yourself a highflying SF.
Thought about giving Brevin Knight Playmaker properties but I figured that he doesn't do all those fancy passes despite being so efficient with assists/turnover ratio.

Shaft23 - I agree with your comment about Camby. He doesn't fall into any of the offensive superstar categories.

If anything Rosee should be an outside scorer.
Better fit than a shooter.
Sun Oct 16, 2005 9:01 am
He could be a sghooter, just not a great one...i mean make his stats so they make him a shooter...make his stats minimum for a shooter.
Sun Oct 16, 2005 9:13 am
3)Doug Christie = 1 time all defensive team and 2 time all defensive 2nd team.. totally overlooked by EA.
Doug Christie is old now though, I don't know if he's still the same defensive player. Don't they have to have like 85 quickness too? Though they shouldn't, he definately doesn't have that, and JHo isn't that quick either [though he is quick]
About Jalen, if you really want him to be, but he's not a shooter in real life, he's a scorer. One of those guys that can shoot well, but it's not his specialty, and really just knows how to put the ball in the basket.

Rose is more of a scorer than a shooter. Rose shoots a lot but the main chunk of his points come from scoring on the inside in the post.

wish he dunk more though, i remember seeing Beyond The Glory: The Fab Five, rose went in and through down this fairly nice one handed jam...but nearly fell on his face

I can get more air-time than Rose........ It's funny/pitiful to watch Rose jump from a foot away from the net and still struggle to dunk the ball. Maybe it's just that I'm used to watching Vince Carter........

EA got stupid by limiting the shooters to at least 85 freethrow. So you'll see Joe Johnson and T-Mac with 85 FT ratings... When in reality they shoot in the 70%s.

nah

You know why Jalen Rose doesn't dunk very often ? Jalen Rose says he doesn't dunk unless its a fastbreak because in High school he went to dunk and was clotheslined and left on a stretcher.

Lindsey Hunter should be, although he doesnt have the speed. Doesn't matter though, he still plays v good defence in the game.

i think they did a pretty good job with superstars for this upcoming season.
I kinda wish they had a "streaky shooter" superstar. Like, after a few made shots in a row they would become a scorer. Jalen would fit this category IMO.

If you train Wally and Eddy Curry (in dynasty mode), do they become their respective superstars? (Assuming that those abilities went up.) If so, we need more info like this.

I don't think Lindsey scores enough to be recognized as a scorer. He can give you some points off the bench, but not enough to warrant a scorer ability in my opinion.

I don't know about that, he dunked in traffic last year, and has done so many times before, but it also has to do with the fact that he doesn't have much of a first step, and isn't really that athletic. So it's not like he's going to be dunking on people anyways
Mon Oct 17, 2005 9:28 am
Speaking of Rose dunking on people, I remember last season in a game against Boston he drove baseline and pile-drived that shit down in the grill of Pierce or Davis I can't remember. Paul/Ricky had the "what the fuck?" face on him afterwards.

i think he means Hunter should be a stopper.

If anything Rose should be an inside scorer - he just loves to post up and do that nasty low post turnaround (especially in the 4th quarter).
